The overall build was easy, but the detail work on much of the sushi could be frustrating if you’re impatient. Some of the materials are fragile when you cut them so tiny so it takes a delicate touch to get them done well. Super cute though and I enjoyed it.

I was super excited about this kit but then realized you have to also assemble the little sushi all the way down to each individual roe! I love DIY but didn’t realize I’d need tweezers and glue to get this done so I returned it since I know I wouldn’t have the patience. Definitely good though for someone who has the patience and focus to assemble very tiny miniatures. ... show more

    • One of the walls is warped.
Because I am in the process of building this kit, I can't answer at this time. Hopefully there will not be any more problems with warped wood. Now I find thete is a piece missing. 😵

Took me forty hours but was worth it. I installed electricity and made the lantern out of rice paper. Twenty-one sushi dishes and they're all different!

I should have looked at the dimensions of this thing. Not only is it tiny, but there are a ton of pieces to assemble, most of which are nearly impossible to hold for an adult, let alone a child. It’s going in the trash!

Not for a beginner. All of the pieces don’t always match up and if you never done one before it is very frustrating. However I had a few under my belt by then and enjoyed making it greatly.
