I've had the opportunity to sample a staggering variety of personal lubricants for a man not employed in the adult entertaintment industry. For one reason or another, I'm popular with the fellas, and my back door receives a lot of special deliveries. So I can speak with some authority on this topic. In almost every way, Swiss Navy's Premium Anal Lubricant exceeds expectations over its competitors' offerings. It has the perfect density, lasts long without getting tacky or gritty, and has a great fragrance thanks to the clove oil, which I guess they added as a topical anesthetic to numb the anus for painless pounding (unnecessary, but thanks for the pretty smell and taste!) My chief complaint is focused squarely on the price point. The only difference between this formulation and Swiss Navy's regular silicone lubricant us the addition of a few drops of clove oil and a black vs. clear bottle. Yet because this item is chiefly marketed to gay and bisexual men, their marketing team seems to think that hiking up the price as much as $6.00 USD per bottle is justifiable. Swiss Navy already rakes in a phenomenal profit after cost if the ingredients they use to manufacture the products, and even if you factor in the overhead costs that go into bottling, distributing, and marketing the lube, they walk away with very fat margin in their pocket from each bottle sold. Jacking up an already hefty base price to an extraordinary new high based on a perceived economic standard widely circulated among companies selling to gay men is just greedy. I'm tired of companies playing to our vanity and milking us for every extra dollar they can squeeze out of us for being a hot demographic outside the mainstream sales channels. I see it everywhere, from Andrew Christian's tacky underwear to Grindr's paid gay-themed emoticons, corporate greed has made being a single gay man the most expensive it's ever been. and believe me, I'm pissed about it, but not enough to switch back to water based lube. Shame on you, Swiss Navy. (And thanks again for the pretty smell and taste!)

Smells like cloves which is weird. And to be clear the bottle says premium ANAL lube which was a fun conversation about my intentions… either way works great.

This smells like sh*t ! Well not that bad but definitely smells medicated ! As vers top practicing bottoming this is great .. but the way it smells will have u second guessing how clean u are .. remember boy keep going to the water is clear! .. ... it definitely smells unnatural ! They other Swiss navy regular is better hands down... great product but smells like 3 day old mint & clover that’s been siting out unrefrigerated.. the smell is kinda a turn off ! THE END
