I have a weak spot for the smell of oud. I tried this as pure oud is hard to come by and you need a reputable source. Slightly smells of oud but a little too sweet for my taste. Still worth trying I think.

I have a special love for high end perfumes and although this product is very inexpensive I would consider this to be in that category. Smell I bought this after smelling Love, Don’t Be Shy by Killian. I wouldn’t say these are dupes of each other but I would say that they are in the same family. Both sensual gourmands that are deep, exotic, and interesting. Private Oud is like a chocolate caramel scent, but not in the juvenile or candy shop way. More like a dark and smokey way, definitely reminiscent of a grown man or woman. With that I would definitely say it is unisex although I get compliments mostly from women on the way I smell when I wear this. Longevity This lasts forever on me, seriously. Everyone’s body chemistry is different but this is probably the longest lasting fragrance I own, and it lasts in the hair and clothes until you wash them as well. This can actually be a pro and a con. I like to switch up my scents often, and am especially fond of fresh clean scents. Make no mistake Private Oud is definitely NOT that. It is a very heavy, powerful and demanding scent. I don’t always want to smell like that. Packaging The packaging is sublime, so elegant. It comes in a sleek black box that I actually like to keep it stored in. The product itself is small but trust me you don’t need more than a drop or two per use, anything more is overkill. I don’t think I will run out of this perfume for years despite its small size. The bottle it comes in is glass, and a very weighty glass at that (it reminds me of good quality crystal glassware). The applicator is like a stick that you can use to place droplets on yourself which I like but if you prefer it comes with a rollerball top you can switch it out for. I was expecting more from this. But not to much my liking. But it is good when I mix it with other oils. It enhance the smell. Buy can't say it is bad by itself. It is just a personal taste. I'm surprised at the size of the bottle, I was under the mistaken impression that it was much bigger, but this is a modest sized bottle that was packaged really nicely, and came with an optional roller top. This oil smells sooooo good guys! Its a true unisex scent, rich and deep. I could (with my newbie nose and my own skin chemistry) pick out oud, chocolate, amber, and date syrup in the scent, and rubbing it on your skin fills the whole room, but in a very pleasant way, and not in a headache inducing way. This is a black tie event worthy smell. No one at the wedding is going to be wearing it, I promise, you are going to attract compliments no matter your gender! This is so good! I loves plums and I thought it will grow on me but it has not & my return window is gone. Smells like a bitter plum instead of a sweet one. I’ll just have to pair it with really sweet scents until it’s finished. Last long I smell it on myself or my clothes for a few days.

This is a beautiful scent that I enjoy layering with other perfumes. I like that it can be a roller ball or tapped onto your pulse points. This does remind me of Swiss Arabians Casablanca, and I have a big collection and I find it redundant. It is a beautiful scent though, with fruity notes, but does not last as long as Casablanca does.
