Most important note: the built-in shorts are black, not white as shown in the listing. That was a pleasant surprise for me, but worth pointing out in case the white was a selling point for others. The skort includes everything featured—drawstring waist, built-in shorts with side pockets, and an outer zipper pocket. The shorts are a good length for swimwear—shorter than average tennis skort shorts but still nice coverage. While it could pass for workout or casual wear, the fabric is clearly swimsuit material, so it likely delivers on the UPF sun protection promised. I’m 5’3.5”, about 120 lbs, and fluctuate between a small and medium. I ordered a small in black, and the fit feels true to size. I have a short, wider torso, so I wasn’t surprised it fits a bit snug in the waist—but it’s still comfortable and wearable.

This is a well made versatile skirt. Can be worn as a swim bottom if you’re looking for something very modest or can be worn as a tennis skirt. The material is very stretchy. It has a hidden elastic drawstring in the waist and a side pocket with an invisible zipper closure. It’s high waisted with a built in shorts underneath.

I purchased this skirt in black, size small, and I have mixed feelings. The material is fantastic—soft, stretchy, and feels good-quality, which is a big plus. The high-waisted design with tummy control is comfortable and not too tight. I also really appreciate the zipper pocket—it’s a nice addition for holding my phone or keys during workouts, which is mainly how I’ve been using this skirt. I bought this intending to wear it both as a swimsuit bottom and for workouts, and it shines more for the latter. The ruffle design is cute, and the higher waist makes for a good pairing with a tank top for yoga or light cardio. However, as a swimsuit bottom, it feels like something’s a tad off. It’s not too small or overly tight, but it’s not snug enough in certain places to feel secure in the water, like it shifts a bit when I move. It’s also doesn’t lay flat against my body so the fit/design feels a tad off so it’s not as cute on as in the photos. I don’t know if it’s a sizing issue or just the design but does feel like one side is slightly longer than the other (see photos), which I can’t tell is by design, pocket or the fit. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that I’ll keep wearing for workouts because of the comfy material and practical pocket but it’s not as flattering as I’d hoped.

The swimsuit skirt is more stylish than other swim skirts that I own, with its playful ruffle design. The black color is practical, but I washed it first by hand to make sure that the dye goes away, before I mix it up with other colored clothes in the wash machine. I'd gladly combine this with various swimsuit tops, and the skirt is suitable for a pool party and boat outings. The material is high-quality and stretchy.
