The advertised size of Superior's hand towels is 16X30". NOT! They are 20X30". An important distinction for some design looks. While also doubting the 800gsm description, I must say that these are very soft, comfortable and substantial towels. Plan to buy more, including bath towels, for another bathroom. *UPDATE: Washed all four, then started using, one by one. Got to 4th towel, and found disintegrating hem (see photo). A few loose strands of thread where it is cut and ends where stitching ends. Would not be satisfied at $100 per towel and the construction is definitely not super premium but neither is the price. Quality a solid 4/5 at any price and a strong 5/5 given the price. Cotton is very soft. I expect heavy shedding for first 10 washes but am fine with that. Very happy after I initial inspection. I had bought sets 3 times previously, the last time in 2017. I loved them & would give those towel sets 5 stars. But the set I received today is disappointing for 3 reasons. First, for some reason, they have added two additional tags to each towel: one of which is cardboard. Neither of these tags can be removed entirely because they run under the seams. It's baffling as to why they are there because the care instructions are on the hanging loops. And that brings me to my second disappointment. The hanging loops have been removed from the washcloths & I don't appreciate that! My final beef is I'm not certain if the sets are 100% cotton anymore. On every previous towel, it was printed, “100% cotton.” This set merely states “Egyptian cotton.” Double-checking this page, I find that it doesn't say 100% cotton anywhere. As of now, I'm unsure if I will keep this set. ... show more

I would have given these towels 5 stars but for all the tags on them. Each towel has 3 tags that need to be removed plus the ribbon label that is attached in two places. I would have left those on but when you hang the towels, the tag hangs down below the end of the towels. They are nice and fluffy soft and just right color I was looking for. The tags are not a deal breaker for me. I will order more for my other bathrooms. ... show more
