I love these shoes so much that I ordered another pair to replace my first pair after a seagull made an unusually accurate shot on my first pair. I wore them exactly 4 times on vacation. As we were leaving our first hotel, we had our suitcases and other bags on a luggage cart. The bag of shoes was hanging from a hook on the cart above the suitcases. These white shoes were on top since I had decided last minute not to wear them on a rainy day. That night, after we had unloaded and were unpacking at our 2nd hotel stay, I found the shoes soiled with bird droppings! The gull had to have placed a pinpoint accurate shot on my shoe bag. Took me a day to surmise how that bird could have gotten the shoe but missed me. The hanging shoe bag had to have been the scene of the crime. And after seeing how accurately they hit statues and public landmarks while leaving most of the area around those site unfettered, I don't think it was an accident :-) !! Thank goodness my size was still available (with a bit of a savings!). I usually take an 8wide or an 8-1/2 wide. If I can't get a wide width, going up to a 9 will often work depending on the toe box width. Toe box width on this size 8-1/2 shoe is pretty wide as is the heel. You'll need socks that cover the Achilles ankle or these will rub. I'm not sure that a heel grip would stick to the canvas of this shoe. I also have a bit of a hammer toe, so I wear gel cushion around my big toe. The canvas seam is near the big toe joint and could be an irritant for this condition. But the gel cushions work for me. UPDATE: these were absolutely perfect for my trip, they remained comfortable even after a full day of walking several miles. I originally bought these for an upcoming trip where I’ll be walking a lot. I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8 women’s shoe and got the EU39. The initial fit was slightly too big, but I switched to thicker socks and re-laced them and they fit just right. They do need to be broken in but the process hasn’t been difficult. So fave I’ve worn them about 3 or 4 times for about a 30 minute walk outside. There was a little rubbing on the small toe for me to begin with but the last two times I’ve worn them that hasn’t been an issue. I’m going to keep wearing them for short bursts to keep breaking them in but I am confident they will work out really well for the trip now. ... show more

I’m not sure about the sizing on these. I read all the reviews and decided to order a half size down (7.5) as suggested but they were too small. My toes were touching the front of the shoe. So I ordered the US 8 which is my regular size and they’re almost a touch too big. It’s confusing. I kept them anyway and have worn them a couple times with little sneaker socks. If you have wide feet then these will be great for you. I’m having to pull the laces in so much to get them to fit the width of my feet that the front of the shoe is folding slightly. They have zero arch support, think flat converse style on the sole, so if you’re looking for that you’ll need insoles. Otherwise I do find them comfortable and they were a great price compared to a white casual leather sneaker I was considering. ... show more

I’m used to wearing white clean Keds which I love with shorts or jeans, so I bought these to change it up a bit. Sneakers look really cute. Just put them on, so they feel a little stiff. Like Keds, they have no real arch support, so if you require that, these are not for you. I hope they get a little softer as time goes by. So far, so good. I was excited to receive my first pair of Superga shoes. However, the size I received was too large and the size chart does not appear to be accurate. Even across the row, the numbers don't appear to be consistent. I had ordered a US 5.5. Since this is listed as a women's shoe, I thought it was safe to assume that it was a US women's 5.5. In any case, the equivalent is a EU 36 which is a confirmation that it was the right size for me. The shoe I received, however, was far too big. Under the tongue are the international sizes of this shoe: EU 37; USAM 5; USAW 6 1/2; UK 4 According to the size chart, an EU 37 is a manufacturer size 6.5, US 6.5, and a UK 4.5. A manufacturer size 5 is a US 5, UK 3, and EU 35. A UK 4 is a manufacturer size 6, US 6, and EU 36. And lastly a manufacturer size 5.5 (what I ordered) is a US 5.5, a UK 3.5, and EU 36. None of these size conversions are representative of the label on the shoe that I got!! Perhaps since this shoe actually came from Amazon UK, it looks like my order of a size 5.5 was translated to a UK 4 on the packing slip, and that could have been where things got messy. In any case, I am thoroughly confused and you probably are too. I will be returning this for sure, and might look for a brick and mortar Superga store on my next attempt so I don't have to play Amazon size chart roulette. Caveat emptor! ... show more

I kept seeing Kate Middleton wearing these and I loved how they were casual yet classy. I wear a 6.5 but depending on the style and the shoe, sometimes I wear a 7. I originally ordered a 7 but found them too big, I returned them for a 6.5 (37 European) and they fit perfectly. I wear them with no show socks. They were a little stiff, especially on the ball of my foot, on the first few wears but now I can wear them all day and feel like they were made for me. I do recommend removing the laces on receipt and taping off the rubber outline on the bottom of the shoe exterior and scotch guarding the canvas before wearing. I receive complements almost every time I wear these shoes and they can be worn with anything form jeans to yoga pants, to a cute dress. I will be order these as a gift for my 72 year old mother that keeps complementing them. A shoe horn is a great tool with slipping in these shoes because I do not like to untie them once I find my sweet spot for how tight the laces are. I’m a creature of habit, I guess. I will also soon be ordering different colors, but for a classic white sneaker that none of your friends have, these are it!!!! ... show more

First I want to say that I LOVED the way this shoe looked! I searched high and low on amazon to find the right size. I have super tiny feet, normally a size 5-5.5. Oftentimes smaller depending on the brand, but since I knew they ran large, I did not want to buy a size 6 and hope for the best (as most of you who have size 5 feet can probably relate to this!) Anyways I finally found this seller and was SO excited. The shoes arrived and were everything I wanted as far as looks. However I noticed they squeezed a bit at the widest part of my foot, right on the bone (I do have wide feet for my shoe size). Putting inserts in relieved this on my left foot, but not on my right so ultimately I opted to return them, since my intention was to get them for a walking trip in Europe. I'm still giving them excellent reviews because once I used the insert on my left foot it felt great. I can only assume that my right foot is slightly bigger or something. The fit did run slightly large everywhere else in the shoe, so I was surprised at the tightness in the largest part of my foot. I have quite a high arch as well so that might have something to do with it. So I guess if you are having a little problem with comfort, try putting inserts in before you've completely abandoned the product. It was a really well put together shoe. The rubber runs up higher on the shoe so I think this would prevent stretching that typically comes with canvas shoes. ... show more
