First thing you should know: I spent nearly 3x the retail price for this guy. The large World of Nintendo figures are really difficult to find, for some reason. I was lucky enough to get a Bowser from Wave 1, but I found NONE of wave two. Not even Ganondorf, and I was really expecting to since . They didn't do a Wind Waker Link to accompany him for some weird reason. As far as I know, there isn't a toy of the metroid, short of some high end statuary, and I'm not positive that even exists. So this is your one shot at getting one for a relatively sane amount of money. If you're a Metroid fan, then you are definitely going to love this. Especially if you manage to find the magical f#:-)@ing unicorn that is this at retail. I don't regret buying this for a higher price one bit. The poseability is fine, considering all these creatures really move is their little fang/arm things. If there was something I feel was a misstep, I think it was the lack of a flight stand. That would have been fantastic. I have the WoN Samus Aran also, and this guy looks fantastic next to her. It's absolutely massive, so it's good and imposing. I'm looking forward to getting the more upscale Figma version of our favorite lady bounty hunter, as I'm sure this will hold up just as well next to her. A wonderful toy from a game series that I adore, and think is absolutely deserving of its own toy line. I sincerely hope we see more support for the Metroid universe as the line continues to grow. Great product for metroid fans but unfortunately a very common issue is dents on the dome. Other than a few dents its a fantastic product

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. It was bigger than expected but that just made, giving it to him better. He loves displaying it in his game room

No World of Nintendo packaging anymore, just the direct manufacturer's Jakks Pacific packaging. Size is correct, rounded plastic mostly held its shape, and Amazon did provide some protection for the box, though it's not in displayable condition (pretty worn). There's three pieces of tape that act as a "seal." Upon opening, the plastic smell is very strong and there is some sticky/gritty residue on the soft plastic. Tried Clorox wipes but it doesn't come off. Haven't removed the bindings from the base yet but doesn't look firmly attached. ... show more

High quality, box was different than the one shown for sale but I guess that’s inconsequential. Bigger than I thought it would be, highly detailed, and extremely light. If you’re a Metroid fan I can’t recommend this enough, especially at this price.

It is very very cool that this exists. My only gripes are that where the clear plastic bubble meets the rest of the piece is a bit poorly crafted. You can see the joints and it doesn't fit tightly like a higher quality sculpture would. Also, you can make it stand on its own, but not very well. I wish a bit more thought of how this would be displayed were put into its design. However, this is not an expensive sculpture by any means. Overall, for the price point, I think this is entirely deserving of 5 stars. ... show more

Looking at other reviews, I was scared I would receive a half melted item. It was fine. Not lumpy, sticky, or broken. The box was in ok shape too. If you're a collector, I'd advise not buying. This was just a gift for a friend who I knew would rip into the box to get his hands on the toy. Also the price is absolutely ridiculous. I only got it cus it was a gift and it's what the bday boy wanted, but I felt played paying so damn much for this ... show more
