Turned out to be brighter than expected, which is a good surprise. I did hard wire them with the option of using the backlight feature using the included wire taps. The backlight feature is currently wired in with my running lights, (always on when car is on). I was expecting a the backlight to be more of a glow rather than a beam…so I am about 50/50 on running this thru a Indenpent switch so I can shut it on/off while running light are on. ... show more

    • Really great value with the wiring harness
I used this to replace the lighting on riding lawn mower. The LED POD's look nearly identical to another very famous LED Brand I have purchased on Amazon. This LED set puts out approximately four times the light for half the wattage of the stock 1156 bulbs. The included wiring harness can be hooked directly to the 12V battery terminals and includes a switch and relay. I was impressed with the quality of the wiring harness, except for one small piece, which was the fuse holder. I replaced the fuse holder with one of better quality from my own spare parts. The wiring harness was quite long for a riding lawn mower so I trimmed some pieces down just matching the color coded wires made it easy. ... show more

    • These lights are really good quality
Although the brackets did not align with my cart, these light are great quality. I did hook them up to test before trying to install. They are super bright and made of metal not cheap plastic. Well worth the money.. If I had something to use them on I would have kept them. Really great value.

The lamps themselves are great - very bright and extremely uniform over a very wide area. I mounted them on the rollover bar on a lawnmower (sometimes I need to finish mowing as it gets dark). The wiring kit was a disappointment. The picture showed a cable mounted switch, but it came with a panel mounted switch so I had to drill a hole and mount it very differently than I had planned. And the spade-type wiring connectors on different portions of the wiring harness didn't match on one of the lights; apparently they ran out of male spade connectors and so used a female connector instead, making it impossible to assemble 2 female connectors together, so I had to fix that. Something else I had to do in the lawnmower situation was to greatly shorten the wires so I didn't have large coils of excess wire hanging on the rollbar. The kit was designed for a car or ATV, so that was understandable, but did require a lot of wire cutting and replacement of crimp style connectors. So it was very much not plug and play, but the end result is awesome, the lights are fantastic and very low power and very rugged. So you need to be pretty good at automotive wiring and have the proper tools and connectors to really be successful. ... show more

We have an outback shed that isn't lighted. A friend suggested getting a light like this to use because it is a cheaper option. I like that it came in a 2 pack. I've placed one in the shed and the other my father grabbed for his basement (he has a large basement with different rooms). The bracket was easy to attach and hang the light. I have it powering from a battery charging unit that I can use to turn it off and on. My shed can leak and it was important that the light was waterproof. It is brighter than I expected. Purchased to use as plow lights on my atv. Positive?? The wire harness included is awesome. Prewired relay and all connections to battery and toggle is great. But the lights themselves are pretty dim. To dim for my use. Ill be changing the lights out for something else. But ill keep the harness and wiring. ... show more

I mounted these on a 2002 Kawasaki KLR 650 and it made a huge difference when riding at night! The KLR headlight isn't much brighter than a candle to begin with but with these little cannons I have maybe better lights than my 2019 Goldwing! Not exaggerating! I connected them to coincide with the High/Low beam and switch. Low beam Yellow, High beam White and they have PERFORMED!! They're very small and can be mounted almost anywhere. If you have a need to improve the lighting on any of your vehicles I highly recommend this product. Packaging is very good.
