This is my first time purchasing tires from Amazon instead of tire rack. Had them shipped directly to my house and put them in the back of my car and dropped the car off to get them swapped out just like tire rack with any local installer. I like to purchase midtier high-performing all season tires that provide decent traction, quite and comfortable road noise with an exceptional dry performance for braking and handling without breaking the bank financially. Installed on a 2010 Lexus RX 350 SUV. Time will tell on the durability but after a few weeks of driving, I am extremely pleased with the value and quality. These Summit Ultramax AS XL tires are great!! I spent hours researching all the tires on Amazon. I looked at the reviews, total number purchased, the tire specifications, the reliability, especially the safety of the tires, and lastly the price of each tire. My priority was safety and type. I had needed all season type tires with a good tread wear rating too. I had narrowed it down to four different brands of tires available on Amazon. The Summit Ultramax all season XL (the XL stands for being able to carry a heavier load on each tire. It does not have anything to do with size. It is a strength load description only.) So, here I am now. After driving on the these tires for awhile, I'm happy to report that they are doing great! I'm glad that I trusted all the info enough to purchase the tires. I had them professionally installed and balanced. No problems with them and they have a really good grip on the roads even when it's raining. They are a great purchase from Amazon and it's a bonus that the price is great too. These tires are a wonderful fit for my car! (My old tires were Continental brand but the price of those are too high now.) I recommend for people to enter your basic vehicle info onto the Amazon website first to help ensure that you find the correct size tires for your vehicle, in the type and style that you like. Brief update: I added 2 pics of one of the tires after driving through muddy, gravel roads. This are super nice and perfect grip. Im surprise they are super quiet the grip is incredible nice and the look is perfect. For the price this are super good tires . The quality is amazing. I will buy more for sure .

I've never heard of the brand Summit, but the reviews were pretty good, only a few bad reviews. I had them installed at a local tire shop. It was a rainy day, the tires had sort of a strange look to the tread pattern, but once I started to drive on them, the differences with the OEM Hankook Kinergy GT H436 was quite evident. These Summit tires were quieter, smoother riding and had more traction in the rain and today it was not raining and the same was true. This is the second day of driving on these new tires and I am quite satisfied with them, great price and good performance overall. As far as mileage, I won't be able to tell for a while. But this appears to be a great tire at a really good price, definitely would recommend. It's been two months now and been raining a lot locally. This Summit tire is definitely superior in literally every way when compared to the factory Hankook that cost more than twice as much. I would definitely buy these Summit tires in the future. Smoother, quieter, and handles better in both wet and dry surfaces, can't ask for more. ... show more

From having the Vercelli Strada II and Achilles ATR Sport 2, this tire from Summit is better than both in many areas. It is more quiet, easier to balance, and cheaper than both of them. As for tread ware they are rated for about the same across all three i've used. If balanced and rotated properly the tire should last well into the 40k miles under realistic conditions. my 02 mustang that i have has awful worn out suspension which causes the tire to ware unevenly, yet this tire hasnt been worn enough to needing to be replaced yet. Bought and had the 2 mounted on the front since the beginning of 2023 and now going into the new year this tire has not worn much even with bad suspension and slightly off alignment. On the road the tire is also quiet at almost all speed. Tire grips very well in dry weather as well and have zero issues with wet weather as i live in the mid-west with all kind of weather patterns. If you need a cheap high performance that can handle 160+ mph and actually hold well in all around weather it does not get better than this. You can get this tire for under $100 vs going to a retail shop and spending upwards to almost $200 per tire to get the same performance and life expectancy, yeah i'd rather not. ... show more

Reviews were excellent on these tires. The price on Amazon was amazing. Delivered to my mechanic a day early. Love the way they feel on my car. Time will tell as to the durability, but all signs are positive at this point. I will never buy tires from a shop again.

No one in town had anything nearly as nice as these tires for the money. They grip good and so far seem to wear well although time will tell. One tire took a very small weight and other didn't need any for balancing.
