  • Fun and Educational Summer Activity!
Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 3 & 4 is a fantastic way to keep kids engaged and learning over the summer break. My child loves the fun challenges and activities, and I love that it helps reinforce key skills in math, reading, and problem-solving. Pros: Engaging and Fun: The workbook includes a variety of activities that feel like a game rather than traditional schoolwork. My child looks forward to completing each section. Skill Reinforcement: It covers important concepts that bridge the gap between grades 3 and 4, helping to keep skills sharp while preparing for the upcoming year. Interactive: The activities are well-structured, and there’s a reward system that motivates my child to continue progressing. Great Design: The colorful and visually appealing pages keep my child interested and excited to work through the book. Cons: A Bit Challenging: Some sections might be a bit tough for younger third graders, but that can be a good thing for keeping them challenged and engaged. Overall, this is a wonderful educational tool that keeps learning fun during the summer. It’s both enjoyable and helpful for maintaining academic progress. Highly recommend for parents looking for a fun and engaging way to bridge the gap between grades! ... show more

  • Great review workbook
We have purchased the other grade level workbooks in the past by BrainqQuest and those were great content but kind of felt like a chore and the organization made it so that we couldn't just do the pages in order. We stopped purchasing them after grade 2 because my kids just weren't using them. These Summer workbooks are great because the pages are organized into levels with a good mix of different review subjects and you can just have the kids work on the pages in order. The workbook also comes with a page to put stickers on for every page completed. Very motivating for younger children especially. Our school district went on strike for a few days recently and one of my kids class wasn't even assigned any work because her class doesn't have a real teacher and only has a long-term substitute (our district is a gigantic mess, but we are okay). I pulled these workbooks out and both of my kids loved them. They were excited to see all the content that they've worked on already this school year, and even my other child who had worked on assigned school homework from his class wanted to do this in addition even though I told him he didn't need to. Great purchase, we'll continue to get these for the coming grades. ... show more

  • Gamified learning >>>>
I could not believe how excited my son got about this activity book. Last year he switched from Montessori to public school and he struggled to meet the expectations for his grade level, dreaded doing homework, and had a lot of anxiety around his academics. Brain Quest uses a “map” and stickers to track the child’s progress through the workbook. This element of playing a “game” (and of course we offered incentives like small prizes for completing each section) transformed his relationship to doing learning worksheets. He has been asking to do multiple pages a day, building more resilience, and practicing important skills that will help him succeed in 4th grade. ... show more

  • A Fun and Engaging Tool for Summer Learning: Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 3 & 4
As a parent, I am always on the lookout for educational resources that make learning fun and engaging for my child during the summer break. Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 3 & 4 is a fantastic workbook that not only keeps my child's mind active during the summer but also ensures a smooth transition between grades. One of the standout features of this workbook is its comprehensive coverage of key subjects. It covers a range of subjects including math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, providing a well-rounded review of the previous grade's curriculum while introducing important concepts for the upcoming grade. The content is aligned with educational standards, making it a valuable resource for reinforcing and building upon the knowledge acquired throughout the school year. The workbook is designed in a user-friendly manner, with each subject divided into sections that are easy to navigate. The instructions are clear and concise, allowing my child to work independently. The colorful illustrations and engaging activities add an element of fun, keeping my child motivated and interested in the learning process. What sets Summer Brain Quest apart from other workbooks is its interactive nature. It incorporates a variety of activities such as puzzles, quizzes, and hands-on experiments that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This interactive approach not only helps my child retain information but also encourages active participation and a deeper understanding of the concepts. The workbook's structure encourages consistent learning throughout the summer. It is divided into weekly units, with each unit providing a set of activities for each subject. This organization helps create a sense of structure and progression, making it easier to track my child's progress and ensure a balanced review of all subjects. While Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 3 & 4 offers a wealth of valuable content, some parents may find that certain topics are covered more extensively than others. Depending on individual needs, additional resources may be required to supplement specific areas of focus. Additionally, the workbook's reliance on paper-based activities might not suit all learning preferences, as some children might benefit from digital or online learning platforms. In conclusion, Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 3 & 4 is a fantastic resource that combines learning and fun to prevent the summer slide and prepare students for the upcoming school year. With its comprehensive coverage of key subjects, interactive activities, and engaging format, it successfully keeps children's minds active and nurtures their academic growth during the summer break. Whether used as a supplement to school curriculum or for homeschooling purposes, this workbook is a valuable tool for parents seeking to support their child's education outside of the classroom. ... show more
