If the wall is coated with silicone oil, it needs to be removed before installation, because the silicone oil coating will affect the adhesion. Is the tile easy to install and cut? Yes, the tiles are designed for easy installation. The peel and stick backing simplifies the process. Cutting can be done with a utility knife, scissors, or a paper cutter. Can these backsplash be used over existing wallpaper or tiles? Yes, they can be applied over existing smooth wallpaper or tiles. The strong adhesive backing ensures good attachment. However, make sure the existing surface is clean and stable before application. Can these tiles be easily removed without damaging the wall? Because tile is very sticky, it is difficult to remove once installed, so please determine the installation location when installing. Removal may cause damage and leave residue, recommended to use a hair dryer to heat and use with tile removal tool. How to get around corners and exits? This is a 100% honest review. For starters, you get 20 half sheets which is basically 10 full sheets. The price is very good for 10 full sheets. I prefer them cut in half as they are easier to work with. I had backsplash in my kitchen that was dated from 1999. It was dark and dreary and I did not have the funds to tear it out and redo it. In the past I have used similar peel and stick tiles that were good but these are exceptional. Word to the wise, these bad boys are on there once you apply them. I obviously applied them over top of old ceramic tiles. I scrubbed the tiles with a scrub brush and wiped them down with rubbing alcohol to remove residue. They are on there and not coming off. I made one mistake and had to remove one and it took 15 minutes to pry it off. So I suspect these will last at least a decade. They are thick, well made and solid. One user posted how they fell off, I can't understand other then he did not prep his area. Here are some tips" 1. Take your time. When you are applying the tile make sure you only remove half the paper backing. Slowly peel the paper off as you stick the tile down. Less likely to have it prematurely stick in places you don't want it to ie: your hands. They can pull the skin off they are that sticky. 2. Clean your surface. I would not personally use these on dry wall as you likely will have to redo the drywall if you ever decide to remove them. They become one with the wall. 3. Take your time around outlets. It is not easy. 4. Get a good pair of all purpose snips. I got mine from Target. 5. Enjoy a nice glass of wine after a job well done. It took me roughly 3 hours. I used 2.5 boxes. ... show more

I absolutely love this tile! The texture looks and feels like real stone, and I love the spattering of gold accent tiles. It’s super easy to install. I’m 77 years old and I installed this myself using scissors. I have about 9 linear feet of backsplash, and the small tiles ensure that there is little waste. The adhesive is extremely strong, so be careful when installing to be sure it’s lined up exactly where you need it. It will take the paper off of sheetrock if you try to pull it up (trust me). Came out beautiful! I gave it 4 stars because it was a bit tedious when it came to cutting pieces for edges etc. overall I’m happy with it. Just take your time and plan ahead. Bought this to freshen up the kitchen area in my camper and I love it. Fits perfect and it was easy to apply and cut down to size where I needed it to fit. I love the new look. It’s been some weeks now and it seems to be holding up nicely where the old was starting to peel off. Recommend.
