  • Not as hearty than a more expensive product, but worth the price!
I have been using these boots for about two years now and I really love them. I like the way they look and once they are broken in, one can slide them right on and go out the door. Fashion-wise I still feel like they are in style and I love the pattern. HIGHLY water resistant on the outside although they are most prone to getting wet due to the height of the boot. Comes with the territory though, if you have Midwest blizzards and 5ft of snow, expect to get some snow in your boots when tromping through snow higher than the boot. Not a product failing just something to think about [i.e. get a higher boot if you don't want the snow to fall in through the top and get your feet wet!] The only reason why I am not giving these boots a 5/5 is because after one winter the inner sole of the shoe broke through on the heel to the hard rubber bottom underneath and really hurt my feet. [If you walk/stand with a lot of pressure on the balls of your heels this will probably happen to you too]. However, it was an easy fix for me I just got about a $10 sole off Amazon and stuck it right in there. Honestly, they may be even cozier if you get a fancy name-brand insole tailored to your feet. Once you get to that point though you need to consider going with a more expensive, quality name-brand boot in general though. Overall, if you are okay with this one defect, it's a 5/5 boot to me! I am all about repairing and reusing so it was an easy choice for me to throw a new inner sole in there and keep wearing them as the outside and bottom of the boot show no signs of wear, and I have put them through A LOT! ... show more

  • functional w/ classy look. Excellent fit- true to size for me, roomy for thick socks, wide feet.
Size: 11 Color: Navy/Tan
I typically wear a size 11 women's shoe (or men's 9) wide width. I know my feet length are closer to 10, but I find that I dont necessarily need to do wide width if I just go up a size. I have legit wide feet from hereditary bunions (from childhood). When it comes to boots I find it imperative to go larger because I want them to accommodate thicker socks. These boots fit really well! I dont find that they are too long. I saw one review where someone shows the length being way too long, so I wasnt sure what to expect. I think these are perfect. There should be room above the toes to allow for comfortable spread, and to allow space for thicker socks. These are easy on, easy off. I have high arches, so getting my foot into boots can be a challenge. These have a wide enough opening to be able to slip my foot down with ease. The main attraction to these boots (which I had saved in my list for a couple of years, then recently they went on sale, so I bought them on a whim) is that they have the ducky lower- which pretty much guarantees that that portion of my foot will stay dry through wet slosh. As the upper turns into a dense material with laces, the ability to keep out snow and wetness reduces (as with any boot), but I think these will do even better than most because the next stage in material is leathery. Faux lambswool is thin, but cozy. I like that it isnt too thick, as I would prefer to put on a couple layers of socks to help retain heat. Traction is lovely. Nothing can totally work on wet slick icy areas, but at least having some deep grooves will help a lot. I think these are EVEN BETTER than the typical duck boot-- where those grooves are more smooth. The soles of these are RUGGED, with deep grooves. I am impressed. Often women's boots are made cheaply, with more "fashion" in mind rather than function. I think the overall look is classy. These have a cool look, but are also functional. Which is likely why I had them in my list to buy, and why I am now here with a pair and giving it 5 stars. ... show more

  • So far so good!
Size: 11 Color: Navy/Tan
My husband has ordered me these for Christmas. I just started wearing them. They are stylish in my opinion. They are comfortable for where I've worn them. They seem to be waterproof as far as I can tell. I haven't been outside for a super lengthy time in the rain or snow while wearing them yet. So far it's been good with them. ... show more

  • No Snow in NY
Size: 10 Color: 1-taupe/Stripe
Well after buying these boots for fear of snow we didn't get but 1 inch for the entire winter which is unheard of for NY, so I decided let me wear them for atleat 15 mins as I did. Outside of no snow, I love the color, and the inside material.

  • No good for full day outdoors in snow
Size: 7 Color: Navy/Tan
Used two days in outdoor, snow conditions (12" of snow) for about 6 hours each day, resulted in wet socks and chilly feet both days. Will repurpose for school days. The fluffy white liner wicks moisture from the snow and eventually translates to damp, chilly feet. We left the top gauntlet folded out/down both days predominantly due marginal lacing options, and it looked better. Not good, at all. Snow pants were worn and strapped over the upper portion of the boot, but helped very little. Children aren't very cognizant of potential issues with their choice of "style", and choose form over function every time. These shoes fail function as "snow" boots. Have no true insulating quality built in, but look cool for a few minutes. Quite disappointed with this choice of shoes. And recommend choosing proven designs for winter use..... Replaced these today with Thinsulate lined, high gauntlet boots rated to -30, local purchase, actually rated for use in snow. I spent just $12 dollars more that included a mid-winter 20% discount for much higher quality. Go local when the shoes/boots are going to be put to actual use. Return options are much better with quality local retailers. I do not recommend these STQ boots for a full day of outdoor use in winter, with deep snow. ... show more

  • Stay dry, but floppy cuff
Size: 10 Color: 1-taupe/Stripe
So far they have kept my feet nice and dry and warm. Bought these because my knockoff Uggs became utterly useless if they got any wet on them. Only problem it that it seems to need at least another lace point above the ones installed, because the top 3" that show as a folded over piece just kind of flop around, so I'm afraid if I wore them in deep-ish snow that it would just pile up inside the boot. ... show more

  • Fantastic boot but runs big
Size: 10 Color: 1-taupe/Stripe
These boots are so great! They are super warm! I feel like I can walk through anything. They do run slightly big so I either need to wear thicker socks or get half a size to a whole size smaller.
