A little back story. I bought these shoes once from the official Steve Madden website in 8.5 but this time they didn’t have the color I wanted so I found it here on Amazon. On the official website the reviews said to size up and I did from 8 to 8.5 and I got a perfect fit. On Amazon the reviews were saying to size up and since I already had one in the size 8.5 I purchased the same size. The shoes came and they looked just like the picture but they were too big. Definitely size up by at least 1/2 a size. I normally wear a 7.5, but 8 fit best. I liked these shoes for the style, and didn't realize they were platform shoes because the style kind of hid it, in my opinion. I don't really wear platform shoes because I don't like the clunky sole, but as I said earlier the style makes it work. It gives you about an extra 2inches of height which also adds to the shoe weight, which I had to get used to walking in. I normally wear active sneakers, but these are comfortable enough to walk in. The sole is flat and not crazy soft. For a $50 shoe, I'm satisfied. I can't say anything about its durability at this time, but time will tell. ... show more

These shoes had been on my wishlist for so long. This Christmas my Fiance surprised me with Steve Maden Posession..and let me tell you I am so glad I have these pair in posession ever since I started wearing these I have found CONFIDENCE. The shoes for the first week felt a little tight in the front however the more you wear, the tightness loosens up and the shoes comfortably hugs your feet. I highly recommend these shoes. I've had these shoes for a few months now and I'm obsessed. Here are my Pros & Cons. (color purchased - white) Cons: I typically wear a size 7.5 - 8 tennis shoes /sneakers (both athletic & non- athletic types) Originally got these in a 8.5 bc reviews said to go up half size. These did not fit at all. My toes were cramped and smushed. Ordered a size 9. They fit length wise. Width wise they are big, and I even have wide feet. I have to pull the laces super tight to which has then lead to the faux leather detailing buckling. I don't know if this can be fixed or how to do so, but it is becoming increasingly obvious and annoying. Theres a material strap on the tongue of the shoes and one of mine has come unstitched I can fix it, but nonetheless annoying I didn't buy them to work out but having worn them to run errands, attend sporting events & other outings, they do get uncomfortable after a while. Would not recommend for gym or any workout Pros: These are the cutest things I have ever worn in terms of a tennis shoe / sneaker I love the chunky look to them I love the way I look in them and they look adorable with so many outfits. Dress up or dress down. They are subtle with the name branding located on them, which I love!! I got these bc I am a neutral girly so they'd match a lot of my wardrobe. They are very bulky and very stiff. Like hard. They click and clack like high heels would on my hard floors. So while being a bit uncomfortable they're super cute.
