  • Cheers to Hasbro for making these Star Wars toys so affordable!
As others have mentioned if you compare this N-1 starfighter to the one for 3.75 inch figures it’s well over a $100 savings. The same goes for these Epic Hero series figures as compared to the regular Star Wars figures. Hasbro is to be commended for making these figures affordable and playable for kids. I look forward to seeing more figures, but especially more ships and maybe even some playsets for this line. ... show more

  • Great actual toy
Incredible toy for the value. $120 for the vintage collection ship or $30 for this? If an actual kid is going to play with it go with this one all the way. If you don’t have crazy extra money, go with this one. It looks great, fits the 3.75” figures perfectly, and goes right along with all the other traditionally sized SW ships. I hope they make a ton more ships in this series. FYI - my photos are with a vintage collection Mando, not the fig that comes with it. ... show more

  • a great toy for the way
I grew up with Star Wars toys and loved the Mandalorian, so of course introduced my kids to the movies and shows (and toys). Star Wars really started the whole movie-tie-in toy boom, and I've enjoyed the different categories they have for all their young and aging audiences. This is a toy. It's a toy for kids to play with and let their imagination soar. It's not detailed or styled for display purposes, those cost more money. But a collector doesn't want kids to play with their display items, but this is really meant for kids to open up, toss around, shoot the little missiles (hooray they let toys have these again!). The set comes with two figures, the Mandalorian and Grogu. Mando has a removable cape and attachable jet pack, but no weapons or other accessories. Grogu is just Grogu. The N-1 itself has plastic canopies that open and engines with a panel that turns to create a more flight look. The design of both the figures and N-1 is good enough and really gives a sense of encouraging play. For the price, this is great. That's what the Epic Heroes series really emphasizes, good toys to play with without costing a lot. With some removable parts, this may not be best for the younger children, but likely fine for anyone over 4 or 5 (or are past the put things in mouth phase). ... show more

  • Really cool Star Wars offering...
I’m and older guy now and haven’t been into Star Wars for years. Never really got into the movies, shows or lore beyond the first three movies, but man, I couldn’t get enough of that stuff back in the day. Had all the figures, fighters, vehicles, even had the Death Star (should’ve held on to that). I was really kind of surprised to see a licensed product offered, so when I saw it I knew I had to order it. Like I said I haven’t been into the Mandolorian or any of the other stuff coming out but I do know what’s kind of hot right now, and I know that they might not be on fire at the moment but the Mandolorian and the ‘baby Yoda’ are two very popular characters right now. So for them to come together with a popular vehicle to me makes this a complete set. I haven’t taken it out of the package because this will eventually be a gift or donation but I have opened it to a degree and everything seems to be there with nothing broken. Looking at pictures this seems to be very accurate to the vehicle and figures in the show. It appears that the ‘baby’s’ arms move (can’t tell about the head) which is a cool feature. The scale of the main figure is comparable to other action figures so I think this set would be compatible with other Star Wars action figures. I have no doubt that most kids would love this set, and some adults who collect may be into this as well. I think it’s a well designed, inclusive set that would definitely go well with other Star Wars toys in your collection. One other thing I didn’t mention is that it’s priced very affordably, so with everything considered I definitely recommend this set. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive set for kids!
The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter is part of Hasbro's "Epic Hero Series" of 4" Star Wars figures. This mainstream line sits between the "Retro Collection", which recreates the look and feel of the original 70s-80s Kenner line of action figures, and the more collector-oriented "Vintage Collection". A few parts need to be snapped onto the ship when first removed from the package, illustrated by a simple instruction manual, which are a tail section, and 2 clear canopies, but more on that later. Also, a pair of projectile laser blasts can be inserted and launched from the spring-loaded cannons in the front. The ship comes with 2 figures, Mando himself, and a tiny Grogu, or "baby Yoda", as fans first named him. When not piloting the ship, the Mandalorian can be accessorized with either his cape or a jetpack, but none of his weapons are included. A storage compartment on the ship to stow them when not being used would have been a plus. He's got the basic 5 points of articulation you would expect, but surprisingly, Grogu's arms and head can also be posed too. Besides firing missiles, another play feature is the "boost mode", which is engaged by sliding panels on the engine pods to reveal clear blue "energy" inside, and also to extend the exhaust jets. This lets you recreate moments on the show when Mando needed that extra burst of speed. My only complaint is the canopy for the cockpit is a bit difficult to insert, and doesn't slide open as easily as I would like. This may frustrate kids while playing, or lead them to using excessive force to slide it open, and possibly break the part. But otherwise, this bundle of the ship and 2 figures is a great value ($30 at time of review), and should be good for lots of playtime on its own, or with other Star Wars toys. ... show more
