This particular 20oz. Stanley is perfect for my day-to-day. (30oz. was too top-heavy and -wide; fit in a middle-console cup holder (not so nicely in the door’s) but too tall/in the way.) It’s a solid 2-pieces: steel thermos, and lid w/ a flip sip nozzle built-in. Sip nozzle is snug, but can be opened one-handed. Couldn’t be easier, and I prefer it to “loose.” Doesn’t leak upside down, moving around. Stable on a table. Plum w/ tangerine color is nice. Plan to use this until it doesn’t function as a water bottle any longer. I’m not saying Stanley is the …. . I used a typical 16.9oz. (500ml) plastic recyclable (really disposable) plastic water bottle daily for years. 70 to 95% of residential recycling in the U.S. doesn’t get recycled or repurposed. It’s a waste, on so many levels. A waste of and a detriment to energy, human effort, oil, Earth’s well-being, the long-term well being of people, and a testament to our consumer culture that doesn’t consider time as a factor in anything we do or think. For the most part. - Also, a class action lawsuit was filed against Stanley in Feb. 2024 for containing lead after claiming it didn’t. Bought this to be used as my daughter's volleyball water bottle because it's large and holds a lot of water. She uses it constantly and keeps it with her all day at school. She can fill it in the morning with ice and water and the next morning it still has some ice left in it from the previous day. This style with the screw on lid, flip up straw, and durable handle is preferred over the style with the side handle and non retractable straw because it fits better in the side pocket of a backpack and into a cup holder.
