Each PCV valve is a direct-fit replacement that replaces OE damaged units to provide precise air flow from the crankcase to the intake manifold. Every PCV valve is constructed with high grade industrial material to resist oil and high engine operating temperatures. Each PCV valve is manufactured with a spring-loaded valve and a sliding pintle inside allowing air flow adjustment to OE specifications resulting in an optimal engine performance.     • You need to read this to know if your pcv valve has failed, this one did in approximately 4 months
I bought this product July of last year. it is currently 5/26/26. This product failed several months ago. At first I couldn't figure out what it was because it mimics a faulty head gasket. If it fails on you, you will notice that when you take turns white smoke will come out of the exhaust. If you use a head gasket test kit it will falsely read that the head gasket has failed. It won't tell you that it's actually the pcv valve that's failed and not the head gasket. I broke down my entire engine to replace the head gasket only to find no signs of leakage at all. The pcv valve has gone in to a "Stuck open" position. The way you can test this is to blow through both sides of the pcv valve. There should be mild resistance on one side and you should not be able to blow through the side that attaches to the engine at all. I can blow straight through that side with no resistance. This is proof that the valve has failed. So this failed in approximately 4 months. It was a nightmare dealing with this and I don't wish this on anyone. My valve covers (at the top) are covered in a cream colored film from moisture from the failed valve, my block (under the manifold) has been flooded in oil, my oil turns black in a week or less, my manifold is coated in oil and now my engine has a misfire. Had I known more about engines before I researched this it could have been a 40 or 50 dollar fix and a 5 minute job. Unfortunately it mimics a blown head gasket and a head gasket tester will tell you the head gasket is blown but it's not. Internet suggests buying the oem model because the Chinese copies tend to fail. This was put in my 2006 jeep grand Cherokee limited 4.7v8.
