Overall these are not bad shoes. They look very dressy and go well with my business clothes. They were initially slow to break in and didn't stretch out as quickly as I expected. The opening to slide your foot into doesn't have a lot of give. For the first two weeks perhaps they were rubbing against the top of my foot, so much so that I had to wear thicker socks. Since then they have loosened up, but not as much as I would have liked. I feel like the cut of the shoe is a bit narrow, and I don't even have wide feet. My other issue with them is the decorative metal chain piece that goes over the top. It looks good, but makes a jingle sound whenever you walk. The piece is loose, not glued or stitched to the shoe like I thought. I will wear these until they get worn out, at which time I will look for a different shoe. They do get points for style, so if that's what you're after then this is the shoe for you. For me, they will work for now.

I bought Stacy Adams shoes due to a good experience I had with the last pair of shoes I wore to work. They seemed to be a good quality. I don't know the reason why the new ones have vinyl on the inside bottom instead of the leather with the last ones. Cost cutting? My feet sweat a little and vinyl can be the difference between smelling and not smelling. A little disappointed, that's why I gave you only 4 stars instead of 5, since the rest of the shoe is well made.
