I think I may have received a defective ring. It was extremely painful to wear and caused an immediate sharp, electric shock–like or nerve pain that traveled through my finger. At first, I thought I was imagining it because I had never experienced anything like that from a ring. To make sure it wasn’t just me, I had my sister, mom, and boyfriend each try it on, and all three of them experienced the same painful sensation.
