Thought it was similar to my fathers older stabila I hat came in a jamber set like 15 years ago... it’s not it is only 2” tall. Thought I would bend it in no time. Knocked it off scaffold twice in first two days 7’ drop, Tomahawked it on a cinder block still reads dead on. Whacked it with a hammer 3 or 4 times nailing batton strips on... what can I say, it’s a stabila. I wish it had a handle hole... spend the money on the better one. ... show more

I was not familiar with the quality of Stabila levels until the last few years. I had previously used home depot specials. These are a significant upgrade and I would say a must if you are installing cabinets or doors. This model is light, very accurate and rhobust.

I have purchased this product thinking that I was going to get the old, sturdy Stabila level. It turned out to be lighter and narrower than other Stabila levels. It has a 1/16 of an inch cup and I get different readings if I turn the level on the other side ( not upside down ). Not a big difference in between the 2 readings but noticeable. I have compared the readings with other Stabila levels and I came to find out that one side is true. Now, I use only that one side. It says Germany on it. It doesn't say Made in Germany. So I don't know if this model is made in Germany or not. For the price, I guess it's OK but I am sure the next one is going to be one of the more expensive Stabila's, just to make sure I will get top quality. ... show more
