Been wearing these for two weeks now in an insanely high volume restaurant: the soles are 10 out of 10 for wet, oily tile and feel substantial enough to last for at least 4 months without degrading. Leather is surprisingly high quality and takes polish and shining very well. Styling is super professional yet equally comfortable and breathable (inside of shoe is leather lined around the heel and sides). My feet are wide, and flat enough to require a chunky, orthotic insole, and these shoes accommodated this nicely. Toe area is also higher/wider than usual, so no rubbing on a hammer toe. My review should take into account that I work entirely too much and as a result wear the shoes practically all the time. These shoes have been so supportive and comfortable that it has been a shame to watch them fall into such disrepair. I only received these shoes 3 months ago, but have abused them through busy brunch shifts and the regular 90+ hour routine that is my life, to the point that I still wear them because they are fantastic and have not broken down or failed me, but look like they have seen better days, which were only a couple months ago. My only gripe is that the inside lining is starting the peel away, creating uncomfortable "pills" around the heel, but is easily dealt with by regular maintenance. ... show more

I work in a suit and tie law enforcement job and have been struggling to find shoes that look good with a suit and hold up to an urban environment. These are great for that and have held up great so far. If you have flat feet, pardon the pun, you will want an insert. Only took me two wears of the shoe to break in. Wide width is true wide width. Only thing they haven’t been tested on is a northeast winter. Follow-up 3/11/2024 - I have had these shoes for 2 years, longer than is longer than recommended probably for foot wear, however, they have worn extremely well and survived two winters in the northeast. I wear size 16 W so I ordered 16EW and they were SO tight. TOO tight. I wore them for one shift, and when I got home for work, I clicked to return them, but since I wore them to a shift, they are not returnable. A WARNING TO YOU. THEY ARE NON RETURNABLE IF YOU WEAR THEM ON A SHIFT TO SEE IF THEY WILL WORK/FIT. I did not know this. THEY DO NOT MAKE THIS CLEAR UP FRONT AT TIME OF PURCHASE. It is in the small print, or else I wouldn't have purchased. I wore my shoes I had kept (Lucky for me), that I wanted THESE SR Max shoes to replace, while I tried to 'break' in the shoes I now could not return, at home. The next shift I worked, I gave the SR MAX another chance and in the middle of service the non-slip tread on the right shoe, broke off, and by the end of the shift, the left tread was flopping like a Swimming Fin.
