This turned out to be a super fun game and the whole family enjoyed it. The ages ranged from 6yrs old to 72 yrs old and there was lots of laughter and loud reactions. It is super easy to pick up and pretty much any kid can play it and adults will love it. The only thing I’ll say is that you can play this game with a regular deck of cards and spoons. You don’t need to buy this set. But it has a nice travel case and the spoons are made from a durable plastic. We will probably play this game a bunch but odds are, when we travel, we will just bring a deck of cards and grab a handful of plastic spoons at whatever location we end up at. In fact, you can play with any items. It doesn’t have to be spoons. But spoons works well because of how the handle sits just off the table when laying flat so it makes for easy grabbing. ... show more

Our family of 4 had fun playing this. Plastic spoons are sturdy and no sharp edges, which is nice for fast grabbing. I also like that they each have a different color. Though I grew up playing with regular spoons, somehow the spoons in my own silverware drawer seel to always be in use or in the sink and rarely all clean for a game! One less star because the instructions are a bit lacking, unclear in parts, and I don't like the way this game suggests the elimination of people after 1 loss. I always played that you get out by spelling out SPOON (5 losses), which keeps people in the game longer, it's more fun that way. ... show more

I used to play spoons when I was younger with my friends. We would just use a deck of cards and a hand full of spoons from their mom’s silverware drawer. Got this for my niece and nephew for Christmas. 4yo didn’t quite get i5 yet, but 7yo loves to play! Lots of family fun with this game! Also would make a fun drinking game with adults!

We bought this to keep in our camper, however, the latches on the case do not stay latched causing the game to spill everywhere and we ended up putting everything in a ziploc bag. So while the game itself is fine, don’t count on using the case it comes in.
