My 1-year-old wear this for Halloween and it was large. I got a size 12 to18 month. He was just out of here and I should have gotten the size 6 to 12 month but I was afraid it would be too small. The outfit was easy to wear over clothing and fit our tricker treating purposes well. We have tried it on recently now his is 16 months and it fits him perfectly for play/dress up around the house.

First, this is a really cute costume. It came with all the accessories, and my daughter looked adorable in it. We got lots of "aww"s and candy. It was nice to be able to add layers underneath to keep her warm. As others have said, the size labeled as 3t-4t on Amazon is labeled as 3t on the costume itself. My daughter has been wearing 4t for a few months now and only fits into a few 3t things still (brands that run big). With additional layers underneath, the costume was pretty tight on her height-wise, so a kid who's at the end of their 4t journey probably wouldn't fit into this. Also, my daughter refused to use the chin strap. I don't understand why. I tested it on myself, and it didn't feel irritating to my skin at all. I think she's just not used to having anything restricting around her chin. Without the chin strap, the hat kept falling down over her eyes once in a while. She got fed up and didn't want to wear the hat eventually, but still wanted to trick or treat.

Got this for our 2&1/2yr old chunky son. We ordered a 3T ( he normally wears anywhere from 3T-4T depending on the clothing) so it would fit comfortably after all he's a 2 yr old boy who is very active so fitting correctly was very important. It is perfect! Very soft the "feet" are separate which was quite pleasing bc he will be walking & wearing his tennis shoes at times & can wear the "puppy feet" at home or riding in the wagon while Trick or Treating. The plush food bowl & bone are a cute accessories for taking pictures etc. The only thing I dislike & might change is instead of Velcro strips on the back a zipper so it's not as itchy & irritating. Over all super cute, comfortable toddler & or baby costume & I highly recommend it if your considering a dalmation.
