Wow! The Rock Solid SPL Company Off-road Driving Light set with Mounting Brackets are a clear winner! I am installing this set of driving lights on the front bumper of my E-350 Ford Van. I set them up last night for a test drive to help me find my ideal mounting location, all I can say is I am really pleased with the performance of this light set. SPL Co. has been a leader in this field, they continually stand behind their products with a reputation of providing durable products including 100% Customer service and product support. SPL Co. furnished adjustable heavy duty mounting brackets pre-mounted on the light set making installation a " simple mount and wire operation". Keep in mind the LED wires are polarity sensitive, the wire color coding was not included in the instructions. More on that later. These can be used as work lights, Driving Lights, or Auxiliary Lights. Complete assembly diagrams are included for various Jeep products in the instruction sheet. I am really impressed with the amount of light that the Driving light produces, the light is brilliant bright white with a nice spread pattern blending perfectly into the Vans driving light pattern. Please keep in mind when mounting these for on-road use like me, carefully choose your mounting location - you certainly wouldn't want to blind oncoming traffic when using the Bright Auxiliary Light setting. With this set mounted on top of my front bumper, using the Driving Light setting, they make great driving & fog type lights. However when switching to Auxiliary Light they turn the roadway in front of my van into daylight. There is no doubt in my mind that the Auxiliary setting will come in quite handy driving off road. I will be using the Driving Light setting on the Van most of the time. I think the SPL Company has a real winner here, the lights and the adjustable heavy metal mounting brackets are purpose built from the ground up to be very durable and effective. When you are wiring the light set and you find that AUX or Driving Light side won't light properly simply reverse the polarity of your connection, this will generally fix the issue. I have my set wired so one or the other is lit at a time, not both. I will upload some pictures when I get finished with the permanent installation on my van, along with a wiring diagram. Hopefully SPL Co. will update the coloring coding in the instructions in the near future. ... show more

If you are a Jeep Wrangler maniac like myself you are always looking for new items or replaceable items for upgrade and to make sure that you have the most awesome jeep to drive by and whip out that victory sign and have the big lifts, and all the lights to come with it, so you get that nice little duck every once in a while. One of the things I decide to upgrade on and modernize was the lights. Couple of the lights that I had on my hood were getting old and rusted and weathered looking. I wanted something more modern that is going to last and not rust. These off-road driving light cubes were perfect replacements as they fit in the exact. Same spots of the previous lights were. The electric wiring was already set up, so connection was easy and safe to do. These lights are in case in a nice flat black framework and has a nice Chrome. Finish to the bracket that is connected to your vehicle. That also, you can set with a swivel screw to tighten at the angle of your desired perspective. When turning these lights on for the first time, they are a million times more intense than the previous lights that I had installed from 2008 so a big huge upgrade and great for all off-roading. It adds a lot of light to the terrain when driving at night time. I highly recommend getting these as they seem to be durable and lasting as they have been installed and weathered for about 2 months at this time. I look forward to these, not rusting and staying nice and bright and lasting the 5 thousand hours that is stated! ... show more

I installed these lights on my Ford Expedition to replace some old ones that had literally fallen off my SUV years ago. They are larger and much better made than my old ones. It was easy to install them as I had holes in my bumper frame for the last ones and only had to adjust the wiring a little bit. They are nice and bright! ... show more

I have tested a lot of lights and only mount and run a small number. These 4" lights earned a tryout on the front of one of my rigs. That said, they did have a few hiccups. I like the stainless steel mounting brackets and hardware. The aluminum housing/heatsink is nicely crafted and the light appears to be well built from the outside view. The 3-wires coming out of the lamps control ground, DRL and full illumination for a spot light for distance. I rigged the two power leads with individual buttons on my light control pad and they work well. The frustration came with the provided parts. The two Allen wrenches, one for the hinge point where the bracket meets the light and below it, the adjustment locking Allen screw, didn't fit the provided hardware. Neither was correct and this install could have been completed with no other tools beyond an adjustable wrench. I had to hit the toolbox to locate my own 4mm and 2.5mm Allen keys. A small problem but it deserves to be corrected. Otherwise, a nice pair of lights at a reasonable price. ... show more
