They look good but for my age and height they cause a lot of pain at the end of the day. I recommend buying a size up so you can ad insoles. Otherwise they seem to be decent work shoes. I have only worn mine for one day and my feet and back were killing me at the end of the day. I’m bitting the bullet and buying a lager size so I can use insoles. Hopefully this helps ... show more

    • So many issues -- don't waste your money

These shoes are nowhere close to being waterproof. It's the wet season and I take my dog to a park every day. I was tired of coming home with soaked feet every day after an hour walking through the wet grass. I thought these shoes would be a solution but I was wrong. They are AT BEST a marginal improvement over any of the the athletic shoes I have been wearing. I put the shoes on and drove about 15 minutes to a park. I got out and found there was already a crease in the top of the shoe just in that short period of time. We walked about 10 minutes through the wet grass and I could already feel the toes in one shoe getting wet. By the 20 minute mark I could feel both feet were wet in the toe area. Keep in mind we aren't walking through puddles or standing water -- we are walking through wet, cut, grass. By the end of our hour, I can say these shoes performed marginally better than my athletic shoes. Based on the previous reviews, I didn't expect they would last long. For the price, I was hoping I could just make it a few months until the dry season returns, but I'm not optimistic these shoes will hold up with just our walks in the park. Is it an improvement? Yes. Is it a solution, no. As for the non-slip claims. I didn't buy them for that and I understand this is intended to be on normal walking surfaces. I only mention it because when my dog was able to pull me right off my feet on the wet grass. In that regard, these shoes perform far worse than any of my athletic shoes. Also, they are not a quick slid in/out set of shoes. The area around the heel is stiff and requires some manipulation to get the heel in/out, guide the socks, etc. A minor irritation considering the other issues. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE: Day 2 was a repeat of day 1. On day 3, that tight heel came back to bite me. I kept feeling like a piece of sand was wedged in my sock and was being ground along the skin of my achilles tendon. I kept checking and there wasn't anything there...until my finger came out covered in blood. Yes, the shoe had rubbed the skin raw in just 30 minutes of walking. I was also slipping and sliding on wet grass and a thin layer of mud over a sidewalk like I had no tread. Day 4 I discovered these shoes dry slower than athletic shoes (I'm assuming because the "waterproof" material doesn't breathe as much), so I started with wet shoes. I covered the wound from yesterday but the tightness of the shoe was painful. Today, it was rubbing the other achilles. There will not be a day 5 as I've switched to boots. In summary, (1) waterproof appears to only refer to the material as the seams let water in, (2) slip resistance appears to mean only in an indoor environment under mildly slippery conditions, (3) the complaints in reviews about the heel area are confirmed, and (4) the poor quality of this product means it will not hold up to prolonged use. ... show more

Bought these for my son,for his first job at a restaurant. They are sturdy, non-slip, not as big and clunky as some other non slip shoes. Look pretty good for a cheaper “work shoe” and get the job done .

    • Not ideal for heavy soil conditions

The shoes are very comfortable and fit well. Under normal work conditions, I would say they work fine. However, if you work in a heavy soil kitchen environment (lots oil, chemical usage, floor spraying, etc), these shoes will not last long. They are waterproof to a certain point. But if you work around fryers, even close a kitchen environment a lot with more than average cleaning, I would recommend something more resilient. In my work environment, these shoes lasted maybe 3-4 weeks (even with daily wiping clean and drying) before they started falling apart and allowing my feet to get wet. These are great shoes for normal work loads, but I recommend you buy these with your work environment in consideration. ... show more

These shoes are great! They have a grip sole that make walking in the snow or ice safe to walk on. They are very comfortable and I plan on buying another pair for a back up. Great to work in.
