This boot is light and well-made (what I wanted), but I bought it for trail walking (mulch, woodland trails) and the tapered heel makes the walking unstable where there are ruts and uneven muddy surfaces. I have a pair of older Sperry docksiders and the heel is square and solid, filling out the heel of the shoe/boot. I wish that this boot had that kind of heel for walking stability. I had a very hard time getting my foot into this boot. The zipper does not extend down far enough to allow room for your foot to slip into boot. I unlaced them and still had to force my foot into them without really straining. I cannot give a review on the fit of the boot itself.
