I cannot count the pairs of Sperry topsiders I have bought throughout the years. The best summer shoes. You can wear them without socks without your feet getting sweaty or slimy. They wear like iron. When they get dirty, throw them in the washing machine with a few towels and let them air dry. The only problem I can see is that if you need support, will be on your feet all day, or maybe walking a long distance, these would not be right. It's hard to find a shoe of any style that is extra wide and IS actually extra wide. THESE ARE! My last pair lasted 10 years before starting to break down; hopefully these do too! In all fairness though; most of the wear on my old ones were in the house as house slippers.

I like the casual and relaxed appearance of this shoe. After breaking this in, it is easy to slip in and out of like a moccasin. It does require a break in period of time, and I expect it to become more comfortable. Size 12 is my normal athletic shoe size, and I ordered a size 11 1/2. I tried a size 12 and the length felt a little better but it was too wide and sloppy feeling. It is recommended to size down a half size, and I am glad I did. ... show more
