  • Top quality and fit is fine
Size: 12 Color: Dark Brown
These are the Sperry classic. I have some Sperry sneakers/shoes too. Always good quality. I have seen comments on sizing. Yes that did concern me as I was ordering. These are NOT too tight (size 12 normal width). That said - if I do wear an ankle sock with them I would make sure it was on the thin side. Overall - quality and style that I expect from Sperry. ... show more

  • A preppy classic at an affordable price!
Size: 10.5 Color: Dark Brown
I’ve always wanted a pair of top siders. I’ve been wearing a lot of moc-toe loafers and boots, but I didn’t have anything casual enough to wear with shorts and still look put together enough for a nice dinner. Pro’s: The toe box is nice and wide, toes. Lace system goes all the way around the back. It’s a true moccasin construction, stitched through to the sole. Very comfortable. More casual than a loafer, more formal than a sneaker. Very lightweight. A great value at $100. Cons: The sole is of course pretty thin, and I don’t know how comfortable these would be if you had to stand around all day in them. The insole, while contoured is a little thin and flimsy. I’d like to put my own insole in these, but It’s glued in. I’m. Sure they should pull out easy enough. I’m guessing they do that to keep the insole from shifting around. All in all, I’m going to stick with my 5, because I knew what they are when I ordered them, and they exceeded my expectations at $100. A very versatile, and comfortable preppy classic. ... show more

  • Better than anything I’ve had; except Timberlands look better after two years.
Size: 9.5 Color: Amaretto
Good quality, long lasting, good price.

  • Good looking shoes, though you can barely see the color. May hurt your foot before break-in Good looking shoes, though you can barely see the color. May hurt your foot before break-in
Size: 11 Color: Smooth Amaretto
Pics: 1- Shoes in natural light, you can't see the red at all. 2- Damage to my right foot from wearing the shoe for a few hours in 2023. 3- The shoes 2 years later in 2025, you can see the red in this light. Pros: Look good, comfortable enough. Can dress up or down. Very durable as I've had them two years and they are doing great (though, they also are very slow to break in....) Cons: These seem too tight near the toes - or at least on mine the right one is always pressing in against the base of my big toe. Picture 2 shows that it actually cut in to my foot to the point of blood after wearing a few hours. 2 years later it's broken in enough that it only leaves my foot a little red there after hours. The shoes fit fine and are easy to take on and off so it's not like I bought them too small. Plus my left foot is perfectly fine (I'm assuming my feet are slightly different sizes, not the shoes) Things to consider: I really liked the shoes having a slightly red color to them, unfortunately that color is almost completely missing from the actual product. You can see it in perfect lighting and that's about it. In my picture with more natural light you can't see the color at all, but the yellowish light lets you see it. Ultimately I like these shoes and would buy them again if they ever wore out... I'd just order a larger size. ... show more

Good quality, slightly too large if your wearing without socks order a half size smaller.

  • Huge quality drop
Size: 11 X-Wide Color: Brown
Quality is way down from before! I've worn Sperrys for decades and they've always been well made. The last pair I bought from the Sperry store on Amazon had cheap thin leather laces and a much less durable sole and the color was lighter than before. I specifically bought the Sahara color. Since the company was bought last year the quality has dropped significantly. If you're able to find older stock you'll probably be fine. From reading countless blogs it seems that in 2024 Sperry was bought and changed their logo from a sailboat in a diamond (the well made shoes) to a sailboat in a circle (the new lower quality shoes). They also stopped putting the logo on the side of the shoe near the eyelets for the laces. Though this last pair I bought clearly showed the old logo in the Amazon pictures in both back of the shoe and on the side of the shoe, what they sent was the new version, the lower quality version. I'd give the Sperry store one more chance except that I also have bought and returned two other pair this fall in a different color. Both of these other pairs were actually the older better model but both time they sent the wrong size. If I buy Sperry again, and I really hope I can, it will only be from a brick and mortar store where I can see them in person first. I'm a huge Amazon customer buying almost everything here, but three trips to return three mistakes from the Amazon Sperry store has me feeling done. ... show more

  • Just got this shoe, looks nice and fits comfortably
I won't be able to give a fully detailed review because I just picked this shoe up about two hours ago. This will be more of a first impressions review. I've wanted to get Sperrys for a while now because a huge percentage of my friends have them, I just never got around to it. This weekend I was waiting in the shoe section for someone so I tried on some Sperrys. I liked the way they looked, so I decided to go ahead and order some a few days ago. I debated for two days between the Sahara and Oatmeal color. I ended up getting the Sahara, and I could not be more pleased with the color. I was hesitant about getting it because of the Amazon picture, which is misleading. In the picture the color looks like a reddish dark brown, but in reality they are a more tan version of the Oatmeal, or a light brown, which is exactly the color I wanted. I also ordered them a half size below my usual shoe size because that was the overwhelming suggestion in what I had heard about Sperrys. People said they stretch out when you break them in, so it is recommended to get them in a smaller size than your usual size. After I got them, I tried them on and walked around for a bit and they were pretty comfortable. They will need some breaking in, but for day one they were pretty good. Also, I was pleased with how they look because I was wearing some stupid looking pants today for a Halloween prank and even on those the shoes looked pretty good so they must look nice when worn with normal pants. The best part about these shoes is that you can wear them with pretty much anything and they will look nice. I have seen my friends wearing them with jeans or khakis and they look good. They are casual enough that you can slip them on with some jeans or shorts, but not so casual that you can't wear them khakis. My friends also wear them with khakis and they look good on those too. Overall, these shoes look good and from what I can tell, they are comfortable so far. As for whether they are worth the price tag (usually around $80 I think, mine were $75), that just varies from person to person. In my case I had a bunch of Amazon money from gift cards I've gotten, so it wasn't a big deal. Also, I really like the way they look so in my opinion my purchase was worth it. For a pair of shoes $80 is fairly expensive, so I cannot give a definite yes or no answer as to whether or not they are worth it. If you are looking for comfortable shoes that can go with many different types of clothing, definitely consider these shoes. ... show more
