Telescope comes prepacked in a nice zip up carrying case. Assembly is very simple it's just thumb screws and the instructions are very clear on how to use it and assemble it. It comes with an attachment for hooking your cell phone up to it for imaging which is actually pretty neat if I wasn't using my phone I would have taken a picture of it but the pictures I took to the telescope aren't very good because I'm not a professional astronomer by any means. It is kind of difficult to find targets in the sky so I would suggest downloading one of the star finding apps like we did and help you get in the right direction to get lined up. I think the most fun my daughter enjoyed with it was just looking at the moon. The amount of detail you can see compared to the naked eye is amazing. It's not a super powerful telescope so you're not going to be taking any pictures to rival bubble. But for just starting out and getting interested and checking out some closer objects this is a good deal as the price is right and the functionality is good. Love the fact that it has the zip up carrying case and it all folds up so neatly.
