Description

Check Vehicle Fitment Our Beam Force XTREME wiper blades are sold as pairs that will fit the Front ‘Driver’ + ‘Passenger’ windshield - please verify fitment by entering the year, make and model of your vehicle using Amazon’s ‘My Garage’ tool above. About Spearhead We are a family-owned operation leveraging 30 years of automotive parts sourcing for some of the largest automotive aftermarket suppliers in the USA to build a brand customers can trust to find the best products at the best prices. How to fix common windshield wiper problems Adjust the tension on your blades by manually lifting the wiper blade away from the windshield then letting it snap back onto the windshield.Check for a bent wiper arm by stopping the blades in the mid-stroke position to see if the wiper arm is parallel to the windshield then replace if necessary. If the blade is not making full contact with the windshield take a plier and bend the mid-to-edge section of the wiper arm downwards toward the windshield.Use hot, soapy water and clean both the windshield and wiper blade rubber thoroughly to remove any grease or buildup. When is the ‘right’ time to replace my wiper blades? Excessive Streaking/Smearing: This normally indicates a worn wiper blade.Every 6-12 Months: Depending on the climate & usage, we recommend replacing wiper blades as often as 6 months up to every 12 months for optimal safety.High Temperature Climate: Exposure to heat will actually shorten the lifespan of the wiper blade significantly vs. being used in the rain/snow.Not Sure: If you don’t remember the last time you replaced your wiper blades, it’s time to change them out! • 2-Year Review: Exceeded Expectations
I had never heard of Spear Head wiper blades before, but the reviews were positive and the price was right. I thought I'd give them a shot. I've tried a variety of mainstream wiper blades in the past with varying degrees of effectiveness. Some were terrible right out of the box. I think I'd only had one excellent pair of blades before this purchase. Fortunately, the Spear Heads are at least on par with those excellent blades. I moved to the South just before purchasing them, so they've seen their fair share of interesting weather over the past two years. Here's my breakdown. Installation: It's been a while since I've installed them, but I do remember getting a little frustrated trying to get one of the blades to snap into the wiper arm. I just couldn't get it to click. I locked it in as best as I could by folding down the plastic latch. It seemed pretty snug, so I let it be. After two years, they haven't budged. Other reviews have complained about similar issues where some folks actually lost a blade mid-use. This was not a problem for me. If installation does prove to be a problem, they provide their email for customer support. I have not attempted to reach out. 4/5 Effectiveness: The Japanese rubber on these is no joke. It creates an uncanny seal against the glass. They wiped away the rain without any streaking. They are like a professional window washer on a downtown office building. And they're quiet, too. The downside is two-fold. The seal against the glass is almost too good. Once, I accidentally left the wipers on after the rain had stopped. The wipers stuttered against the dry glass and loosened the bolt holding down one of the wiper arms. It was an easy fix, but I am very cognizant of the state of the glass now. The other issue is all the nooks and crannies in the design of the wiper seem to provide places for water to gather. When the wiper blade returns on the down stroke, there's often a small spritz of water blown back onto the glass. It's pretty minor but noticeable. Despite these issues, these are probably the most durable wiper blades I've used. They lasted a solid two years before performance started to wane. 4.5/5 Value: Easy win here. The quality of the blades matched with their durability makes them a steal at about $25 for a pair. 5/5 If you don't mind putting in a little elbow grease to get these snapped on, I would definitely give these wiper blades a try. Truly a great product at a great price. ... show more

  • Short-term review -- great for the price!
I've needed new windshield wipers for about six months and have been putting off doing anything about it. Like much of the country, I've been working from home that entire time, so I'm not driving a whole lot and don't anticipate having a regular commute for several months (probably longer). Rather than buy one of the big brand names (which I didn't think it would be worth it because of my lack of a commute), I decided to find a middle-ground for fall 2020 / winter 2021. After doing some searching, I chose the Beam Force Xtremes. For reference - I live in an area where it rains often, but it rarely rains heavily. So, I put a water-repellent solution on my windshield and installed the wipers. After a month, I can say that I'm extremely satisfied. The wipers are very quiet, do a nice job of clearing the windshield (minimal streaking), and look good on the vehicle. The couple of times that I've really had to use them (actual steady rainfall that the water-repellent couldn't take care of), they've been great. Installation was easy for one blade, but the other took some muscle to get on. The YouTube video was a great help. I have no concerns about them falling off the vehicle. Obviously, I can't speak to longevity as it has only been a month. But so far, the wipers are great and I do not regret choosing these over one of the big brand names. In fact, I can easily see myself buying these again. ... show more

  • Quality wipers at a great price!
Size: 26" + 18" (Pair for Front Windshield)
Bought these wipers to replace the old ones on my Honda Accord. I live in the northeast where we get snowy winters and wet summers and was in the market for new windshield wipers that would work for both. I saw these wipers after looking at several options and decided to give them a try. I am thrilled that I bought these. Install was easy; both the short and long wipers slipped right in. I’ve since used them in heavy rain and the performance is excellent. The wipers are silent and do an great job of cleaning the windshield and leaving no rain behind. I cannot yet speak on the longevity, but they are great quality and I am pleased with the purchase. I would recommend them to anyone looking for new wipers! ... show more

  • Almost perfect, with only 1 issue
Size: 24" + 20" (Pair for Front Windshield)
I bought these for my 2011 Kia Soul. They installed perfectly and the weight is more substantial than any of Bosch's blades that I have bought in the past (which by the way tear on me every year, so annoying). The rubber is also fairly soft which makes them extremely silent. I've never had blades this quiet. The downside to the soft rubber is the longer they are, the less they hug near the edges of the blade. The just don't have enough backbone to work properly as a long blade. My right blade (which is 20") is absolutely perfect and doesn't miss anything. The left blade (which is 24") misses a couple inches on one side and an inch on the other. They definitely work better at slower speeds but I still don't really mind because after a full wiping cycle it seems to get pretty much everything. I suspect as these sit on the windshield more, the rubber will settle and conform to the windshield better. I think Spearhead has realized the issue with the longer blades, since they no longer offer the longer ones. If you're buying them 20" or under I wouldn't fear this issue and would highly suggest them. The only thing I worry about is the durability of the soft rubber, but like I said you get the added benefit of them being so quiet. ... show more

  • Family Owned Business
Size: 24" + 21" (Pair for Front Windshield)
This was my first time in many years venturing outside of the "Name Brand Wiper" realm. Presentation is top notch, packaging is sturdy and item was delivered without and damage. The build quality is excellent, and the Rubber on each blade comes with a slide off protector, very nice feature missing on more expensive brands. The blades feel like a quality product, sturdy, and well made, and I am impressed. This was the easiest installation I've made in a very long time, straight forward, easy to follow visual instructions, which I barely needed, it was so easy, and the fit was perfect!, Quiet and zero streaks. Longevity is an unknown, but I expect them to last at least a year. I highly recommend anyone giving this business a try, I will be a customer for awhile as long as the blades hold up well. ... show more

  • Absolutely perfect, far surpasses even the best wipers
Size: 24" + 18" (Pair for Front Windshield)
These wipers are absolutely incredible. Let me start off by saying this: I bought and installed these wipers 17 MONTHS AGO and am only now realizing I should write a review because they're STILL PERFECT. Wipers are apparently supposed to be changed every 6-12 months, but I've had these for 17 and they work like the day I got them. I live in the northeast where the climate is super bipolar, with melting summers and blizzardy winters and hot/cold swings every week. These things hold up through every season, for almost a year and a half now, with no end in sight. I have them on a Mazda 3 2016. The Beam Force XTREME 24" and 18". They're super easy to install and make virtually no noise whatsoever. Zero sound. Zero scrapes or wobbles. Zero streaks. For 17 months straight. AND they're cheap. Super cheap. So now you know--this is why they are the single perfect wiper. If you can get these for your car, get them. You won't regret it. Update 1/3/24-- just came back here to buy another pair as my current ones didn't pass inspection. It has been over 3 years (40 months) since I last bought these. I am a lifetime customer. ... show more

  • Great quality and value
I have an older SUV. I used to go to the dealer during oil changes etc and get the wipers replaced. One day I realized that it was much cheaper for me to do this myself (DUH!), and I didn't like the OEM dealer replacement. They were stiff, noisy on my windshield even when new, and didn't last. After researching, I saw many of y'all recommending this brand, which I'd never heard of. I researched the Fukoku rubber and was intrigued with the application on commercial ships and aircraft where the wipers need to work, and last. I've now purchased these twice - 4 yrs apart - so can confidently say they do last a long time. I got maybe 6 mos off my OEM dealer wipers. They stay supple and quiet against my windshield. My vehicle is parked outside in extreme Texas heat and they don't rot or harden. They're super easy to install. Totally worth it. A great Amazon find! ... show more

  • easy to install. pricey compared to others.
Size: 26" + 19" (Pair for Front Windshield)
While not as nice as OEM, they seem to work. My originals on the Prius lasted from 2014 to now, so, I can't complain of OEM. They don't wear out in southern California, They dry out and split from the heat and sun. These seem strong though not as aerodynamic as the OEM's. I bought these because I was told you couldn't get OEM replacement rubbers and would have to buy the entire OEM assembly at $90 each. But I have since found that Amazon does carry the OEM rubbers. I saved the old assemblies so next time I'll put them back with new inserts i bought as spares. We will see how long that will be. Hopefully a long time. These do not streak any more than the OEMs. Of course all it takes for a streak is a bit of oil or dust so streaking isn't a big deal to me. They all streak some depending on how clean the windshield is. These do not chatter at any speed the Prius goes. Installation is a snap. They say a lot of force but not really. Just a quick shove into place does the trick. Overal, I am a happy camper. I just wish I saw the oem inserts before I purchased these for the Prius. They are more aerodynamic and better designed for the car. And they cost a few dollars less than these. ... show more
