No doubt, these leggings look nice. The finish on them especially does. I am happy with them but there are a few things I don't like. Do they squish all your fat in and make you look thinner? Well...they DO squish all your fat. WHERE they squish it is a point of contention. For some body parts (and maybe this is different for other people), like legs, they squish but the fat has nowhere to go. I mean, it can't be squished into my ankles. So they apply lots of pressure and this isn't the most comfortable. (But then, who buys Spanx and expects them to be comfortable?!?!) Where this is a problem is the stomach area. The squishing results in pressurized and encapsulated belly fat. I suppose it is a plus that when it is under pressure and isolated it can't jiggle around as much. But I am not so convinced it's a big improvement in my shape if my hip fat has been redistributed to my belly, which now looks rounder than ever because the top of the leggings are super tight. Super tight = smaller. But in my case, being smaller around the ribs meant my stomach looked bigger. No, no, Spanx are not for being comfortable. But they do need to do their job and do it in a way that is tolerable. Meaning, you can still breathe enough to survive. In these, at first I feel okay. Then I realize that sitting down, where I need to bend at the waist, is going to be kind of difficult. Oh, and when you do have to bend, your fat will now be constricted into rolls. The leggings are tolerable, but definitely not for all-day wear. Like others have said, the top does start rolling down, and there's no way you can adjust without excusing yourself to the bathroom. Then you will pull and wiggle and dance until you've got the top back up where it belongs. Repeat 1-2 times per hour. The leggings are well made and are good quality. They look good, but they are only practical for wearing for short periods. Ones with a bathroom freely available. Sadly, most of my outfit occasions do not fit these requirements, so these have become $100 closet decorations. ... show more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these leggings. They are exactly what I was hoping for. They are super high waisted, but don’t fold or hit weird, so will work well under shirts and sweaters. I just received them today, so I can’t attest to how well they hold up, but I’m sure other reviewers are right in that they will show signs of wear eventually. I think that is is impossible to get around that with this type of material in any brand. I’ve had very expensive pants that have this leather look and velvet types and eventually they all show wear signs from contact. I love these so I will probably wear them a ton come fall/winter and definitely order another pair just to have. I ordered a size small and they fit great. I looked at the size chart and it said for 16 that an xl will do so I bought an XL but when trying them on they were a bit snug , more on the tight side. Can I still get away wearing them without my leggings screaming “”I don’t fit you!” Sure.. I don’t want to return and have to buy a size up. Overall I really really like them. These leggings are everything! I loved my first pair so much, I bought another pair the same day! They shape without looking like shapewear & they are most definitely high quality. Aside from my Wolford tights, this is the most I will typically spend on leggings, but they’re worth every cent. My thighs look fantastic. I love the faux leather look. These do not look cheap like so many pair & they do breathe, so you don’t have that awful ‘pleather’ feel that only makes you sweat. I wish I had these in additional colours & styles because they’re absolutely my new go-to. Don’t let the price put you off. If you’re going to wear leggings, trust, you want these! ... show more

I’m 6’ tall, usually wear a size 12 in pants/dresses and XL fit perfectly. Did great things for my mom tummy, but was lacking in the booty area. Like it kinda smooshed my butt instead of lifting it. I was hesitant to buy these because they’re definitely not cheap and I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually wear leather pants. These are incredible! They’re insanely comfortable and I get a million compliments every time I wear them. I got them about 8 months post-partum and they do an incredible job keeping the extra baby pooch in check without being suffocating.
