This product is not as good as the Spanx I bought around...8? years ago. Am I just getting older and flabbier? Or can these things just not squeeze all the right things the right way anymore? I loved my Spanx that I bought years ago, and I wore them for years, probably longer than I should have, but they just kept doing their thing. Yes, this one has a hole in it already and I've only worn them a handful of times! I can't believe it! I followed the size chart for height and weight. I don't understand why it's falling apart already. These are a step above whatever I made the mistake of buying at Walmart; they do pull my tummy in to some degree. And they do feel softer to the hand, but how much does that really matter? It's a minor difference and the main point is tummy control. Spanx! Please rethink this! ... show more

I'm disappointed in these. The manufacturing seems different than years ago when I bought Spanx. The material is much thinner and the "zones" provide very little tummy control. They're about level with control top panty hose. I bought my size according to the chart and expected more compression. They do go on easily without much of a fight but the waistband rolls down after sitting in them creating a bulge. The legs don't ride up, fortunately, and shape thighs well. Some good butt support, too. After I could no longer afford Spanx, I wore their Assets line and loved them. These fit well and sucked me in, but the seam at the bottom of the shorts is not seamless/invisible. You can see where the shorts end under a slinky dress where I was trying to hide underwear lines. Kind of defeats the purpose of spanx in my opinion… had to return

I had to wear this SPANX power shorts 24 hours a day for a week. The SPANX advertises their shorts not to "roll up ever". It rolls up and down at the waist line while lying down and sitting up and standing. I started to wonder, if this SPANX product was a genuine SPANX, which promised "not to roll". I weigh about 175 and got a size Large. They fit perfectly and it really helped smooth out my curves! I’m only giving it a 4 star because the top of the shape-wear rolled down but overall it was the perfect fit! Definetly would recommend getting these!

So I I can’t complain about Spanx. Great quality, but I think I got the wrong size. I bought a small and I weigh 120 - 123 lbs depending on the day and my diet. I was busting out of these and it gave me a muffin top. I will be honest and say I’m flabby. I haven’t worked out at all during COVID and here we are 2 years later. Anyway, if my stomach/sides were more toned these would have worked I suspect. So for now I’ll wear them with my babydoll dresses in the summer. Taking a star off for sizing.
