This Review is for the Sorel Men's Open-Back Slippers, (also known as the Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slipper). I am a woman who wears a Woman's street shoe or boot in size 10, in a medium width. I have bought many pairs of the the Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slipper in a size 8 for myself, and in several of the different colors. I buy my Husband a size 12 in a very similar style of this Sorel slipper, but which has a closed heel, the Sorel Men's Manawan Slipper. I have found that these opened back Falcon Ridge Men's size 8 Slippers fits me the best because I always wear these slippers barefoot, sometimes with knit legwarmers when my ankles and calves need warmth. I am an avid sock-hater cuz my toes have to have their freedom! I also dislike slippers and shoes with backs over the heels on them, so that is another reason I totally love these slippers, and I prefer a bit looser fit for a slipper too. Interestingly, my husband is the opposite of me with his slippers. He always wears socks and he loves a closed back heel on his slippers. So for him, I buy him the other Sorel Style that fits and functions similar to these, with the same crepe-style outer sole but has the closed in heel, the Sorel Men's Manawan Slipper. I do have 1 pair of these Men's Falcon Ridge Slippers that I accidently got in a Men's size 9 a few years back. It has always been a bit too big on me, unless I force myself to wear socks with them. So for me: - BAREFOOT - The Men's 8 fits a woman's size 10 feet with some roomy comfort. - WITH SOCKS, (a medium thickness athletic/sport sock) - The Men's 9 fits a Woman's size 10 Feet. So, keep that sizing difference in mind if you want to wear socks with these Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slippers. The same pretty much goes for the fit in Sorel Men's Manawan Slipper too, but a closed-in heel does also make for a snugger fit. Anyway, over the years, I just keep on buying these Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slippers! These are my main Fall/Winter slipper/shoe for around my house and out on my wood decks because these are very comfortable slippers and are pretty warm, quite tough and durable, and look decent too. BUT, THE BIGGEST REASON that I continue to buy these slippers is because I totally love the outer crepe-style sole on these! With these slippers on, I can actually go out on my wet, snowy or slightly frozen wood decks and not slip. I can even walk around on our snow-packed driveway, after my husband snow-blows it, and I also do not slip! I will still slip on thick frozen ice, but for somewhat slippery decks, the soles on these slippers get a very good grip! Whenever I buy a new pair of these Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slippers, I always examine them for any quality or stitching issues and I make sure they are the correct size and still fit me good. They always feel snug and a bit narrow at 1st, but these quickly do stretch a bit and conform to your foot. Then, the very 1st thing I actually do with all of my Sorel Falcon Slippers before I wear them, is to remove that Sorel FAKE-shearling insole and replace it with an original UGG Women's Sheepskin Insoles in size Women's size10 to fit the Men's 8 of this slipper. For me, the Sorel fake-shearling insole that comes in these slippers seem to make my feet too hot and sweaty! It seems my feet have some sort of odd reaction to the Sorel fake-Shearling material. That problem goes away with the Ugg real shearling insoles, which last me for at least a year. My husband always wears socks so the Sorel fake-shearling Insoles don't seem to make his feet too hot. This year, I actually ended up buying 3 different pairs of these Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slippers, in 3 different colors, so I would have some variety in colors. I totally work from home now, since COVID caused the company I used to work for to shut down permanently. So these are basically the only daily footwear I wear during the cold seasons at home. I am super happy with the Sorel Men's Falcon Ridge Slipper and my husband is also always super happy with the other Sorel closed heel style slipper that I get for him.

Is this "Slipper" perfect, no. Is any slipper these days perfect, no. That said, this slipper is very comfortable. Very well made. No quality issues. The bottom is a non-slip rubber so you can go outside to bring in the garbage cans. But if you are a drag your feet kind of a walker you will trip because the bottoms will grab. Nice slip in and the stay on, no issues. Size is good. I am an 10 1/2 purchased an 11. Overall a very nice "Slipper"
