I picked up the SOREL Manawan II slippers for cold mornings and they have quickly become my go to indoor shoes. The lining is warm and soft without feeling sweaty, so my feet stay comfortable even when I wear them for several hours around the house. The upper material feels sturdy and holds its shape, not like cheap slippers that collapse after a few weeks. One of the things I like most is the sole. It has enough structure and grip that I can step outside to grab the mail or let the dog out without worrying about getting my feet wet or sliding on the porch. They feel more like a casual shoe on the bottom and a cozy slipper on top. Sizing felt just a touch snug at first with thicker socks, but they broke in nicely after a little wear. My adult son asked for these slippers for Christmas about 6 years ago. Since the. When he needs a new pair they are on his Christmas list. Again this year I bought them for him. My son in law heard him talking about how great they are a few years ago and nod I keep both of them in these. The tell me they are very comfortable ( can wear all day in comfort), wear well (last for 2-4 years depending on how long they are worn daily). They have good support, the size is correct to their regular sizes, lining is warm. My son works in a basement with carpeting daily for his business and wears these in all seasons. SOREL has always been a top quality product and these slippers are top quality. The top is very soft suede with the soles being rubber so I won't worry about falling if I have to step out on an icy porch. I need to be able to slip on my shoes because of my age and for the ease. Believe it or not, these slip on without any issue! The fit is a little too big with bare feet but enough that I would return. The arch support is good buy I don't like arch support! There is no smell. For heaven's sake, why do they want us to comment on the smell of everything?! These are padded nicely and give good support to the foot. So, they are easy to use! I gave a 4 star because they are a tad too large and heavy for slippers. I am going to wear them for a bit to see if I can adjust to the weight. I got them almost half off in cost, I would never pay full price for these. Update: I changed from a 4 star to 5 star…after wearing these for about 6 hours my feet are very grateful! The weight of the slipper isn’t a problem. These are truly a slip on slipper but they don’t advertise as such? I wonder why? Because they are! I have lovely room for my toes to move a bit..this is wonderful because I have neuropathy. I live in upstate NY and my feet are nice and toasty! I always wore LLBean slippers because….well just because they are a New England company. LLBean wears out every year. This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He likes them very much. As always, Sorel products are very well made. It has a gum sole, similar to that of a shoe. These slippers are well worth the money. I think they will last a long time.

11 & 1/2 months later, these slippers have lasted really well and still have plenty of life left in them. I remember reading a review before I purchased that said they wore out too fast, but I think if you wear them inside instead of wearing them for trips to Walmart, they will last a few years. Also, the insole comes out and is washable. ... show more
