Great value. Others noted the need to secure it, the mislabeled instructions, and the size limitations. I agree with all. Having said that, the value is great, and after a little extra work, I love it. I chose to paint 2x12’s black, and secured a back to it. I did use 3/4 inch spacers to allow for more inset. If doing it over, I would buy replacement bolts that had countersink style heads to prevent them from rubbing bottles. The rack does not hold some wider base 750ml bottles (e.g. Phinney “Locations” or “Machete” bottles… they fit if you shove hard and scrape the wire across the labels, but only in empty areas in the middle where the wire can flex a smidge, see 750ml bottles that don’t fit well in the photo on the milk crate), but it fits all standard 750’s (it is NOT for 1.5L bottles!). I wish it had a quarter inch more clearance between rows to avoid that, but I am still really happy with it. It is super solid once secured to a wall or cabinet. My stacked wooden bottle racks from ten years ago spontaneously split, then collapsed over time (what a frustration!), but I am now confident I have the proper safe-and-stable solution. Love it!!!! I don’t have the board measurements I used, but assembling the cabinet was an hour (not counting paint drying) and assembling the wire wine rack frame was probably twenty minutes counting assembly AND securing the frame to the cabinet back. As long as one can visualize a way to secure it so it is stable (even if that is just screwing into a wall using the frame holes and included anchors/screws), it is a great solution for a really great price. I love how it functions and trust the robustness. If this cost $250 it would be a four star review due to the bad instructions and tight bottle fit. But the very reasonable price earns it five stars for being a great value paired with using expectations based upon that low price point.

Great wine racks! Perfect for me.

I bought the both the 150 and 75 bottle racks- they are the perfect solution for me. I keep my wine in an unfinished basement, and had previously constructed an insulated area to keep the temperature constant. I had a couple shelves, but still had multiple boxes stacked on top of each other, which was not really stable, especially as bottles were removed. I got tired of playing 'Wine Bottle Jenga', and started looking for a more stable solution- none of the wooden racks I checked were large enough, or fit the space already constructed, or held enough bottles. These were perfect!! They fit the space just right, work great, and look very nice also. I was more interested in function then appearance, as they are generally hidden ( I have insulated panels across the front to close the space up), but they do look nice. I would definitely anchor them to the wall, and they are very stable after doing so. I was already worried about bottles falling out of my cases- I'd hate to see a grown man cry, if one of these fell over onto the concrete floor! They were easy enough to assemble, and mine at least came with more nuts and bolts then required, which I appreciate. I had to drill holes into the concrete behind them, and I decided to put little wooden spacers (about 3/4") between the wall and racks, to make sure there was enough depth behind the bottles. I also like how all the bottle fit. Seems a lot of reviews of the various wooden racks claimed 'fatter' bottles might not fit, but I didn't have any problems with the wider pinot or syrah bottles fitting into these. Also some smaller 1/2 bottles fit the length just fine also. Excellent! For the price, and the amount of storage, and fitting all size bottles- I love these. Highly recommended.

Decent When Bolted to Backing

This is an inexpensive wine rack. I’m putting individual bottles on this rack that cost more than the whole rack. You get what you pay for. It can be made to work, but it’s a little rough around the edges. Here are some of the negatives that you may experience: - screws for joining the center section are 1/4” longer and will block a few slots on the sides if used there instead. Pay attention to the instructions. - larger bottles, like champagne or some Chardonnay bottles, might not fit into the slots next to the screw nuts without bending the wires around a bit. They stick out a bit and can scratch labels. That being a big deal or not depends on you. - the entire rack sits on 8 small feet that cannot be bolted down without modification (you could drill through them). That means all the weight from 150 bottles plus the rack (>400# total) is sitting on 8 square inches on your flooring. Because of this, I put 8 large 2.5” screw-in heavy duty anti-skid pads onto the bottom of a piece of 3/4” birch plywood that was an off-cut from the backing board I made with a shelf on top. I also applied heavy-duty rubber gripping material to the bottoms of those 8 1”x1” square feet on the rack itself. - The rack can technically stand on its own but it’s really designed to be bolted into studs in a wall. I didn’t want to do this, so I basically made a cabinet for it to sit in. If it doesn’t fit on the studs, consider bolting a board into your studs then bolting this into the board. I wouldn’t trust this in an earthquake without it being bolted to a wall. Overall, it’s fine and stable enough when set up properly, but it’s more of a piece of a DIY solution than a fully-baked product IMO.

Great Value for a great wine rack

I will not say this is the best wine rack ever produced. This wine rack is great for your home wine room and wine storage. The rack is sturdy when properly assembled and mounted to a wall. Do not think about filling the rack if it is not mounted with wall anchors, unless you like the idea of cleaning a wine collection off the floor. The rack is easy to assemble. Prior to assembly set up a table and place all hardware on table and sort out each item. Forget the toy wrench they include. Get out a 10mm wrench or socket and a good Phillip's head screw driver to assemble this. Do not fully tighten the brackets on the back side until you have assembled the entire unit. Ensure everything is squared up and begin to tighten the unit. Start at the top corners and work your way around. I was able to assemble this in about 30 minutes. The instructions are not the most clear and it helps if you have assembled some flat pack furniture in the past. You get the idea of how to assemble it from the drawings, but the devil is in the details. The written instructions tell you properly, while the picture has a few wrong letter codes for which screws to use. Minor problem. I will be mounting mine to a brick and mortar wall and will need slightly different mounts than they included. I was aware of this going in and am not unhappy in any manner. If you need storage for the 12 and a half cases of wine you have, I suggest this rack.

After searching so many, I found this one.

We had a closet near our bar that was unused. I decided to put our wine collection in it, that was scattered about the house. Using the measurements of the closet, I discovered this metal rack. This is two racks, side by side, that came in one box - for 150 bottles. The box that came was not heavy, and it took a little figuring out, but not much - to put it together. Think IKEA on this one. The instructions to me are useless. The company would do better to take good pictures of the rack - that's all you need to figure it out. And that's what I did, I used the picture on the box. Not the best option but the rack came together in 45 minutes start to finish. Mounting on the wall - super easy. I put the empty rack to the wall - used a sharpy to mark the holes, removed the rack and drilled. A little clean up of the dust, rack put back, screwed it in, and we have a wine closet. It was fun arranging the wine. The closet looks great too. Love it. If you are asking if it is sturdy - the answer is a SUPER YES. I could stack a few extra rows on top if I choose.

Wine Room Inventory racks.

This item worked out great. I bought several, including some shorter ones, which increased my wine room storage capacity to 900 bottles. When bolting to gather, put the brackets between the racks, which allows more room for the wine bottle (for larger bottle styles). On the ends, put the screw head towards the bottle storage area.
