Someone came up with a minimalist design that is very simple, easy to assemble, light and inexpensive. Should get an award. A wooden wine rack that could hold 100 bottles would take 3 times as long to assemble, weigh 4 times as much and cost twice as much. The manufacturing is good, everything fits well, nothing is bent, looks good. They even included a few extra bolts in case I loose any which I usually do. It does need to be screwed to a wall although it stands up on its own without bottles, I wouldn’t trust it with 100 bottles in it. The instructions are minimal, but adequate. They don’t tell you how to figure out which is front and back. If you do it backwards bottles will fall out. I had not noticed the problem of not matching the spacing of wall studs that others mentioned. I installed mine in my cellar and fastened it directly into cinder block using Tapcon 1/4” screws. Installed in a basement closet. Assembly was straight forward. Was sent an extra cross brace instead of a y brace, but made due. Nice streamlined design. Holds a lot of bottles for its size. I anchored it to a piece of wood which I had secured to the studs. Seems very stable. Aside from the missing piece of hardware, my only caveat is the openings in the rack are on the narrow side. It won’t hold larger diameter bottles like burgundy, or champagne except in the center slots, but then they hit the bottles above them. So I just keep those in another closet. I found this to be easy to assemble, unlike some other reviews I didn't have any issues with holes not lining up, everything matched and went to together easily. You can mount this to the wall, but I chose not too. At first it appeared to be very wobbly, but once you load it up with wine bottles, it actually is very stable. I have no concerns about it tipping over, although I do not have any kids at home. From a size perspective, it fits perfectly in tight spaces and does not take up extra space, which is great if you are limited in floor space. I put mine in a closet and fit perfectly. As for wine bottles, of the 100 bottles I put on it, only 4 did not fit. They were extra, extra wide Pinot and GSM bottles, which were unusually wide. All other bottles fit in the rack just fine. I put the extra wide ones on the top rack along with the champagne bottles. I would definitely recommend this rack and would buy a second one if my collection keeps growing. ... show more

For the price, they suit my purpose. I DID attach these to my walls for added stability. They hold the number stated. They are pretty decent quality. East to build, a bit tough to hang. If you are not putting them on a stud, you will need the wall anchors, they get very heavy.
