I had a slight problem getting the first three pieces to fit together but it was easy when I lined them up at the right angle. The rest of the assembly process was a doddle. I think that my rubber mallet made the job easier but you could make do with a piece of scrap wood and a hammer. The wine rack is quite stable on a wooden floor. A little Rocky but it gets the job done although I bought it at Christmas time when it was on sale for 50 bucks I need to buy another wine rack I’m thinking of buying another one of these but not sure since the price jump. I will say it hasn’t failed me yet

You just need a rubber mallet to put this rack together, but it was easy to assemble.

    • Nice solution for our wine storage
We needed some additional wine storage to fit in a closet. Theses are exactly the right size. If we ever need to move them to a more public space, they are plenty attractive for that.

Solid rack. Simple design, works well. Assembly is easy, but you will need either a heavy mallet or a hammer and woodblock (ad says no tools required), since the joints are tight (ultimately a good thing, since you want it tight and sturdy). My only complaint is that it needs crossbar support on the bottom for structural stability and safety. I nearly lost an entire rack of wine when the bottom supports gave out. Luckily, I was there to catch it. I ended up taking off the bottom pieces and placing the rack on top of them as seen on the two racks in picture one. It works better that way, but your wine will be closer to the floor. ... show more

    • Wine rack is pretty but the manufacturing leaves much to be desired
I was pleasantly surprised when the rack came a day earlier than expected. I went to put it together however, and none of the pieces fit correctly. I had to take a wood file to every single side piece such that the cross members would slide into them. Even after filing, I still had to hammer each piece together with a rubber mallet. I understand wanting the pieces to be snug but clearly the cutting dies used to cut the pieces are slightly off and what should be a short assembly process ended up taking much longer because of all the needed filing. ... show more

    • Assembly not straight forward
Nice wine racks, but hard to get level. I used a rubber mallet to help drive the pieces together and even then it was tilted. I screwed it to wall to ensure would not fall over with 72 bottles of wine.
