I've been a lover of Somolux HTV and have bought it a lot within the last 2 years. However, the colors are no longer matching previous orders. Also, the newer colors in my opinion are horrible. The pictures show the difference in colors.... The right ones are the old... The left, the new. The brown specifically is incredibly reddish in color. The quality is wonderful but colors are awful. Very disappointed in the change.

I use to really love this vinyl, my last few orders of the white has been bad. I’ve found some sticky mess on of of the rolls and the last few rolls have been multiple sheets of vinyl put together to make a roll. I was so upset this last time because I was in the middle of a project and boom I had to cut the vinyl because it wasn’t a full run to have enough for the cut, how does this keep happening? It never was like this a year ago.

Only thing I suggest is to weed the smallest details first because the backing is not very tacky so the vinyl will lift up as you weed. It is easy enough to reposition but weeding small intricate detail cuts takes a lot longer. And as you weed, can see the "glue" on the backing, but it doesn't affect anything once you press it on fabric. I was using Circuit regular iron on which weeded so easily even the tiniest detail. Then they went to their strong bond version, and the vinyl is more "rubbery" so small details got harder and longer to weed, but at least the backing was tacky enough to stay put. But overall, this product works well enough - only needs a few seconds under the hot iron. Vinyl "dries" darker shade than what you see unapplied.

We used this iron on to make individual jackets for my daughter's high school theatre officers. The product worked great and cut smoothly and the iron on was easy. Smaller pieces worked better with an actual iron versus the heat press. They have held up to multiple washes.

It took me awhile to finally use it because plans changed, but I love this vinyl. I appreciate the stickiness of the vinyl to it's backing. I would rather weeding take extra time than lose pieces of my design. This was one of the clearest designs I've ever made. People having trouble with sticking are likely not pressing down for 15-20 seconds with decent pressure or allowing it to cool before peeling off the clear backing. Don't rush pulling it off. Once it's cooled it comes right off no issues.
