Wow - show stopper!
These things are AWESOME! They were my sons favorite decoration at his Space party. The blue swirl part is nice and wide, thick plastic type material. The planets are nice and large, high quality. All of the planets are basically the same size though so from an accuracy stand point, this drove my little guy NUTS! He kept saying "Mama Pluto is too big", lol! We have low ceilings so I did have to cut mine a little and I also wanted some higher and lower. I didnt use the piece of fishline to hang them (again low ceilings) so I just used push pins. ... show more

Excellent!
These decorations are way better than I imagined. I usually read descriptions very carefully before I order something but I guess this time I just figured they'd be about the same as other hanging whirls that I have bought. But I was so surprised to find that they are 40 inches in length and the planets are nearly 6 inches across! The foil swirls that the planets hang from are nice and wide and a very shiny blue. I ordered two sets, expecting them to be small, but now I'm glad that I ordered two because I can use them in the big room and they will be the focal point of the party. They would also be great for educational purposes since the planets are all nicely colored (you can even see the outline of continents on the Earth) and each one has it's name printed in small letters on one side. I plan to go to this company first the next time I need any decorations! ... show more

Cute decorations
Bought this for my sons space themed birthday party. Very cute decorations. My son loved them! He was telling everyone the planets names. Nice touch that the names are on them.

Very nice!
As previous reviewers have noted, these are quite large! I bought them as stocking stuffers for my teenage son, who enjoys astronomy as a hobby. He got a big kick out of them. They are so large and hang down so far that hanging them up in his room won't work, as his cat thinks they are cat toys. I really like the metallic hangers...very colorful, and they create a lot of motion. Definitely worth the price! ... show more

Get these FIRST!
These are substantial decorations - they were bright and shiny and very noticeable, and probably my favorite decorations that we hung for our daughter's solar system party. Very bright "whirly" strings, quality materials, and the planets all look great. We attached them to a door with painter's tape, and they are light enough not to pull or fall at all, but added a nice vibrancy to the party. I would definitely recommend these for solar system parties, for a kid's room, and definitely for teachers in a classroom. Fabulous price, less than $8, and worth more. Very, very pleased. ... show more

Space-themed teen party success!
Awesome, bigger that I thought and great way to learn the orders of the planet. My kids had to remind me the order of them all and they were great for the space-themed bday party for my teenage daughter!

My daughter is obsessed with the solar system so we bought these for her 2nd birthday. It comes with the Sun, all 8 planets and Pluto (the dwarf planet)! Each of the pieces (sun & planets) are very nice and the coloring makes each planet & the sun recognizable. After we took them down, I laminated each one and added a magnet. Now we play solar system on our door with our new planet magnets (picture attached) & She loves them! ... show more

Perfect for your little
My son is a 4 year old autistic and he absolutely adores space. Bought these for his birthday in which we had two parties. They held up super well. Both parties were outside and it was mesmerizing to watch them spin in the Wind. We hang them from trees and awnings and my son was in heaven. Afterwards, I slipped off the planets and hung them on his wall in his room. Definitely got multiple uses out of these. They're quite large much bigger than what I was expecting which was a nice bonus. ... show more
