These decorations are way better than I imagined. I usually read descriptions very carefully before I order something but I guess this time I just figured they'd be about the same as other hanging whirls that I have bought. But I was so surprised to find that they are 40 inches in length and the planets are nearly 6 inches across! The foil swirls that the planets hang from are nice and wide and a very shiny blue. I ordered two sets, expecting them to be small, but now I'm glad that I ordered two because I can use them in the big room and they will be the focal point of the party. They would also be great for educational purposes since the planets are all nicely colored (you can even see the outline of continents on the Earth) and each one has it's name printed in small letters on one side. I plan to go to this company first the next time I need any decorations!

These are substantial decorations - they were bright and shiny and very noticeable, and probably my favorite decorations that we hung for our daughter's solar system party. Very bright "whirly" strings, quality materials, and the planets all look great. We attached them to a door with painter's tape, and they are light enough not to pull or fall at all, but added a nice vibrancy to the party. I would definitely recommend these for solar system parties, for a kid's room, and definitely for teachers in a classroom. Fabulous price, less than $8, and worth more. Very, very pleased.

These planets are pretty large and the blue shiny strings are thick and stronger than most of the similar products. They hang long so I had to twist up a fe so they wouldn't be at same length. Overall happy with product.

These were a great decoration for a space themed 4th birthday party. (not easy to decorate for). It was a little tricky getting them to hang - I used blue tack to hang them from doorways. They fell, I hung them again. They fell, I used more blue tack, etc etc. But they looked great- they're long and large and bright and fun. We put pluto in the bathroom since it's not considered a planet by the new generation. Something to think about while you're in the loo.

As previous reviewers have noted, these are quite large! I bought them as stocking stuffers for my teenage son, who enjoys astronomy as a hobby. He got a big kick out of them. They are so large and hang down so far that hanging them up in his room won't work, as his cat thinks they are cat toys. I really like the metallic hangers...very colorful, and they create a lot of motion. Definitely worth the price!

I ordered these to hang from my light fixtures in my classroom because my classroom these is space. They were a little long so I folded them in half and hung them. They look great! The added blue spiral curly hanging with the planet looks really good. They are holding up really well too despite the fact the window air conditioning unit violently blows them around each day.

These were perfect at my daughter's space-themed 5th birthday party. The coordinate well with other space-themed decorations available on Amazon. I was also pleased to see that each piece came with a clear plastic loop for hanging. This made setup and take-down a breeze. Very happy with these decorations! My son is a 4 year old autistic and he absolutely adores space. Bought these for his birthday in which we had two parties. They held up super well. Both parties were outside and it was mesmerizing to watch them spin in the Wind. We hang them from trees and awnings and my son was in heaven. Afterwards, I slipped off the planets and hung them on his wall in his room. Definitely got multiple uses out of these. They're quite large much bigger than what I was expecting which was a nice bonus.
