This is the best snow removal tool you'll ever buy! It's literally the only one you need. Those old brushes are not as effective as this large piece of foam that can easily push off the snow! You really won't be dissapointed. The LED lights are nice to have but not that bright just an fyi. It's better than nothing though and can be used as an S.O.S. The quality of the material is so good that the original one I bought 1 year ago still works perfectly, the foam is still intact and the twist locking mechanism still works perfectly. I like to review products that I've extensively used and this is one of the products I've truly put to the test. The winters in NJ are pretty harsh but I'm sure other places are far worse and this tool will still survive. ... show more

I haven’t used the lights on this yet but it’s gotten plenty of use to get snow off the very top of my truck. About two weeks before I purchased this, I slowed down to come up to a red light... ALL the snow from the top of my pickup truck came forward onto my windshield. This was at a very busy intersection with lots of traffic, impossible to get out and clean it off. Wipers worked somewhat but there was still a pile of snow blocking over 50% of my view. Not safe at all so I proceeded to the nearest place to pullover to get out and clean off the hood. Very glad I have this now and use it all the time. Works great in light and heavy snow and doesn’t scratch the finish. If you live in snow country, don’t hesitate! Get this thing, you will not regret it. I used to drive school bus and this thing would have saved lots of time as part of every ‘pre-trip’ before my route. ... show more

I have purchased a few products from Sun/Snow Joe over the years and have always been very satisfied with every product. They have all offered good quality and dependable service at very competitive pricing. This snow broom is no exception and falls right into this category. I’m not the tallest guy around and always have a hard time clearing snow off the roof of my van. Checked out YouTube to see if there was anything that might help and this broom was featured in a few videos. Looked good so I switched to Amazon and there it was, two days later I had it in my hands just in time for 8”s of heavy wet snow that hit my area. The broom worked great, the extendable handle helped me reach across the vans roof and clear it with no problems. Here’s the best part, the broom arrived damaged in shipping. The clips that hold the handle to the body for storage were broken. I called Snow Joe and spoke to a very courteous and helpful representative who sent out a no charge replacement to me that same day. Great products, great prices, great service, that’s Sun/Snow Joe! Greetings from (frigid) NH. Up here, these things are almost a MUST. I said almost...I previously used a cheaper brand, and bought his Snow Joe to upgrade. The old one would loosen up and twist around while I was using it; this one (guess what?) loosens up and twists around while using it. There could be some type of locking mechanism to keep the head stable. (I extend it, set it up and keep it in my car until spring.) The other dumb feature is the LED lights, which I didn't realize were part of this product--today EVERYTHING seems to have LED lights & who needs it? We do have elctricity here in NH (well, most of us.) I'd be curious as to how many people actually use this feature--maybe in a dark alley or somewhere you shouldn't be?! One GOOD feature is the ice scraper on the opposite end. Sometimes we get snow, ice and rain all in the same storm, so this has you covered. I'd like to super-glue the head of this snow broom in place!!! And don't forget, a SOFT-bristle household broom works just fine & won't scratch your vehicle. A regular broom just doesn't scrape. I think that, if I get another snow broom, I'll try one with bristles. The Snow Joe is fine for the price, but skip those LED lights unless you really need them--get a flashlight! ... show more

I looked at this item when i took it out of the box and my first thought was this is a joke. Boy was I right. First thing i noticed was the scrapper was not attached to the pole it just slides on and off. Off being the key word here. The first reverse motion I made it touched the wiper and off it came and the pole hit the windsheild pretty hard was actually worried it cracked the cold windsheild. I got lucky it didn`t, but I brought the thing right back in the house and put it back in the box it came in and put in for a return. Only plus in this whole experience was the thing was easy to return. So on that I gave a 1 star ... show more

Especially great for any vehicles with a high roofline.. very easy to remove light or heavy snow quickly and safely on vehicle surfaces..I'm a bit fussy with that and this is a very safe foam considering many of the alternative tools out there. Have always used the old brush type snow removers...this is faster and with telescoping pole reaches across roof line of SUVs and minivans easily. creeper is useful for light buildup on windows, but a hand scraper will provide for much more leverage... I choose to keep the snow joe and a scraper for best efficiency. Only drawback is is does consume space in vehicle unless you unscrew the pole. No excuse for leaving that snow on the roof when driving with this tool! ... show more
