The stuff that came was not all shown in the picture. Not a bad assortment in general, but my mom doesn't like hot fries and pop corners. Half the stuff in there she gave back to me.

This was my first time ordering this product. I ordered in as a special treat for my kids to surprise them on our vacation. The kids loved opening the box up everyday and finding something new to snack on. So much variety! So much selection! This will be a repeat purchase. Yes, the selection varied slightly from the picture but the selection and variety of fresh snacks in a "snack size" was ideal and a winner for me. Everything was sealed and by my kids faces....was delicious! Thank you for making my vacation with my kids special; I know they will ask, "Where's the snack chest?" the next time we go on vacation! Thanks! There was so much that I had enough snacks for my nieces too, who also came on vacation with us! One more thing, the thought of packing all the snacks up for vacation and taking up all that space in the car for all the boxes or bags of food was working on me. The snack chest provided all the snacks I needed, in a fun, delicious, healthy, compact size, that I had more space in my car. Also, with all the variety and in a snack size design, there was no arguing or annoyance or hurt feelings when someone was eating a traditional "from the big box" snack. All kids had their own special snack for themselves in that special snack size to hold in their hands to enjoy. I can't say enough good things about this product. We have tried out several different snack chests for our home or for delivery to kids in school, but this one is our favorite. The selection is what they like, there's a good variety, and not a lot goes to waste. This is an excellent care package to send to your military loved one or a college student. It has a great variety without having to spend a lot of money. I sent this to my daughter when she was at A-school and deployed. She ate what she liked and shared the rest with fellow soldiers.

    • good mix but disappointed by substituted items.

Good mix of items for the price but had to knock it for a few things. First a few things I was disappointed by but did not knock it too much for was the sizes of the packages where even though they were clearly listed,which is good, I was caught off by just how small most of the items really were like the packages of chips, cheez it, chex mix ect, and like the starburst only containing 2 individual candy. I was also not 100% trusting the picture because it said variety pack but was disappointed in the end in terms of the end flavors like the airheads and grandma's cookie flavors but again I didn't really knock it for that since I took a chance hoping for example with the grandmas cookies to have one of each and did no receive an oatmeal raisin(which happens to be my favorite as well). However there are 2 items that occurred that for me knocked it down from a solid 4 star to a 3 star just ok. The description lists 1 goldfish original and I never recieved that instead getting what i assume is the usual substitue of cheez it scrabble since that is not listed in the description and in the image is shown by the goldfish. If that was the case the description should put something like goldfish/cheez it scrabble so as not to expect a goldfish original and not recieve it. The other example that caught me out was the listing for 4 swedish fish. While the image shows swedish fish and sour patch kids so I was expecting perhaps the 4 to be a combination of those 2 products my 4 swedish fish resulted in 1 swedish fish 2 twizzlers(not even shown in the pictures) and just an extra skittles package which are made by three diffrent companies and is weird substituions when the description says 4 swedish fish so would expect 4 items of swedish fish or sour patch kids. As far as I can tell I also did not recieve the ultimate recipes booklet. Overall I think its a good value for you money for the amount of items if you dont mind like the limited sizes and arent too picky about any of the flavors or items as like man i must have that and are just looking for a good and cheap variety pack. i think for me i would give it at most maybe another half star if that was possible for the product because some of it was my fault as well but I would probably also not buy it again and just go get what I really was hoping and craving for then taking a chance with a mixed variety pack. ... show more
