This 'Wandering Gunman' costume, which is patterned after the outfit worn by Clint Eastwood in 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' or one of the others of his 'Spaghetti Western' movies, is pretty decent for a Halloween costume. From a distance, you can't tell that the poncho isn't really a woven Mexican poncho. Up close, it's obvious that it's fake. But, overall, the appearance is fairly realistic. The shirt/vest garment fits very well and the detail is pretty good. The neck band is the finishing touch. I ordered the hat, gun belt and gun to go with it. I'm pleased with the results.Fifty dollars seems a little high. But, I guess that's to be expected for a 'specialty' costume like this.

It's not the worst you could drop money on for a quick costume, seeing as the legitimate pieces will cost you well over what you'll pay for this set which includes a Velcro solid black neck piece, shirt and and vest combo and poncho. It looks good in pictures, but is definitely not make for anything other than costuming. The shirt and vest combo isn't terrible, as the vest itself looks realistic enough, I actually unstitched the shirt portion from the vest and used a denim western shirt I already had, which ended up looking better (in my opinion). As for the poncho, you get what you pay for, it's a very starchy material that will easily tear, with iron-on designs that match those from the movies. The frill trim looks like cut-out plastic that's been sewn to the hem. All in all, it looks better than it really is, but it's still work the price for a convincing costume for a night or two.

Got this for my boyfriend for a Halloween party we went to. I went as Sister Sarah. Most of the folks over 40 recognized us as a pair and got it right away, others, not so much. If you're a fan of the Clint Eastwood "spaghetti westerns", you'll love this outfit. Fit comfortably. The only bad thing was that one of the lapels made of faux sheepskin didn't match the other lapel...looked stupid so he just wore the poncho down the whole time. A bit pricey since it wasn't made correctly, but we couldn't return it as the party was coming up very soon. I bought him a pair of real jingle-bob spurs for the cowboy boots he already owned, and that finishing touch made the outfit.

Although the material is a little cheap and the shirt is not really a shirt. It is a one piece vest and shirt. But actually this costume looks pretty darn good!!

Could use some improvements to make it look more authentic but overall good. Blue shirt comes with it and is stitched to vest but is very thin and has no tail in the back to tuck in. I would recommend cutting it out and using a real long sleeve shirt. Costume also comes with black velcro scarf which works but a real one would look better. All in all a good buy and is worth it just for the poncho.

Only Medium was offered and it is slightly small. The shirt wasn't mentioned on the website, and though the full shirt comes with the outfit, it is attached to the vest. If it was separate from the vest, I could have easily substituted another shirt while using the vest and poncho. If separate from the shirt, the vest supplied could have been one size larger, and it could be used for both, large and medium shirts. The general look is good, but the shirt looks more like silk in person. No self respecting cowboy would wear silk unless he was a fancy boy, with a bowler hat.

I order this costume for my husband for the Phoenix ComiCon as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I am really pleased with costume's quality. My husband said the Poncho, the shirt/vest and "scarf" where confortable. I use the coffee and tea technique to make it look old and dusty. Also, cut each fringe in half so they look more as fabric. Costume fit perfectly. My son order another costume for him and me to wear and we became The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. We have a blast!

This western costume was not bad at all. I liked that it included the shirt, because I was not expecting it to come with one from the Amazon description. It fits well, but you absolutely need a hat like Clint wears in the movies to really pull this one off, or else it just looks like a typical poncho. The vest almost looks real but is very thin, and the neck scarf is really more of just a piece of fabric with velcro, which doesn't really fit a slim neck too well. I would suggest just getting a bandana. Overall for the price it is a good costume, which I only plan to wear for a party.
