Cover works well and controls the power on/off feature of the Ipad. Depending on the cover used to protect your device will affect how well it stays on. I had one cover that made the cover come off everytime I folded the cover back. The current back cover that I am using will actually lock the cover in place while in use. Just something to think about if you are planning to use separate front and back covers.

I guess I didn't do my homework as this was truly a cover, only. As in a flimsy magnetic strip that stuck to the top edge of the iPAD and then folded over the unit. It doesn't encompass or surround the unit in any way; it simply sat on top. The strip did not hold well at all either. It took me longer to pack it for return than it did to decide that this APPLE product was horribly low budget. SO many great and creatively decorated smart covers here on Amazon. Avoid this item.

Purchased this cover to replace a worn out cover I had purchased when I first acquired my iPad Pro. This cover is much thinner and more attractive than my old cover. Provides the necessary protection without adding unnecessary bulk to my iPad. Would highly recommend.

I had keyboard cover from a reputable company, but the iPad Pro would not charge with it connected. I’d leave the iPad plugged in all night only to find it didn’t charge. This simple cover fixed that (and the annoying habit the keaboard cover had of playing random iTunes at full blast while in my backpack).

It's pricey compared to the competition but its also an official Apple product. The finish is extremely high quality. The cover sticks to the side of the iPad via a magnet, and its firm enough that you wont have to worry about it falling off unless you are trying to make it fall off. The cover itself is quite versatile, it turns the iPad on/off when you open/close it, and it is also sturdy enough to act as a stand. It also protects the screen! All that and a bag of potato chips!

Good cover with a soft surface against the glass screen. The magnets could be stronger; they often fail to hold the cover in the stand position, requiring a quick grab to keep the iPad from falling over or even off a table or desk. Also, they cost way more than they should.

I have a Logitech keyboard, which works great, but at times I can hit the play button and my tunes start going off. Doesn't do well at church during a sermon, so I bought one of these. It works well with the backing of the Logitech installed.
