I've been on Keto for so long that when I came across these buns I was extremely skeptical. On the great KETO lifestyle, whenever I see a 'low carb' or 'zero carb' item I always say to myself "ok what's the catch?" Usually when an item is low/zero carb it either taste horrible, isn't filling, or is using so many chemicals that it might as well not be considered food anymore. So I ordered these buns seeing that the ingredients we're straight forward so there might be hope for them. Tried them and am very pleased to say they taste just like a normal bun (which is exactly what you want) and are still zero carbs to not effect your KETO. I ate them everyday on KETO and I always teste my urine with KETONE strips to see if food is effecting my state of ketosis, and am excited to say these are the real deal as to not pull you out of keto. I didn't have any digestive issues at all so glad that wasn''t an issue. I might have took a star off due to the 38$ price tags for 24 buns, but thinking about it logically, if you go to a normal place to get a burger or even a place like Arby's for a sandwich your paying 3-5$ for a burger/sandwich. These are essentially $1.55 if they sold them individually, so if you take for example a roast beef with chedder on bun at Arby's for 5-7$, broken down its like 3-4$ for the meat, 50cent to 1$ for the cheese and 1$ for the bun. With that in mind these are actually fairly priced. I will be ordering another batch of these again as you will not find a better KETO bun on the market and especially not at the store in present day. ... show more

Excellent soft, fluffy buns. Not dry or eggy like some recipes on the internet. A little bit crumbly, but that's a small price to pay. Gone are the days of eating burgers with a fork and knife or wrapping them in lettuce. Hamburgers suddenly become an easy quick healthy meal. Do they compare to a regular bun? Every once in a while there is a product that hits the ball out of the park and this is one of those products!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have tried so many zero or low carb breads. The taste is either ruined by stevia or it's just not something you would eat. I have also baked many recipes myself and never did I have the results that these buns have. They don't taste like bread but have a great texture and more importantly don't take away from whatever you are eating them with. These are delicious with some butter and garlic salt. Great for sloppy joes, hamburgers etc. Plus. I can make breakfast and have something that is enough like bread to eat with it. ... show more

I'm diabetic and trying to stick to a ketogenic diet. But I missed eating a hamburger or sandwich with bread or a bun. I got my order of these Smartbuns yesterday and made my first normal hamburger with them this evening. Imagine my delight that they didn't have a funny smell like some bread substitutes. Imagine my glee that, although a tiny bit drier than normal bad-for-you white burger buns, they tasted like normal burger buns. They're pre-sliced, individually wrapped (and then wrapped together in groups of four), and just right. No aftertaste, not real texture issues. Sure, they're expensive, but now I don't have to keep making cloud bread to use as a surrogate sandwich bun. These are far, far better and already made for me. I'm going to make sure I have some of these in my freezer at all times. They're going to save my sanity and keep me from bread-cheats on this diet. ... show more

I just received my order of 24 buns today. I was so excited to try this since the reviews are somewhat convincing. So i made my cheeseburger for dinner.. It was pretty darn good looking cheeseburger to eat but when i took my first bite, I could not swallow it. The bun is very dry and the texture seemed to have stuck in my tongue.. I didnt like this bun at all. I’d rather eat my burger bunless than having this bun. Honestly, i didnt expect it to be the same taste or not even close to the actual bun that people normally eat on a burger but i was expecting it to be likeable or at least ok to taste. I’m sure other people who gave their 4-5 stars didnt have the same taste bud as mine. To each his own opinion and liking. Sure my 2 stars is for the company who tried so very hard to come up with something like this new product in the market to cater people trying to live a healthier lifestyle. Eating Ketogentic, I have tried many different buns. I received this companies "Smart cakes" (which you also need to try - cinnamon and coconut by far the best) through my Keto Krate subscription box, and have fallen in love. Gets boring always eating lettuce wrap burgers, and now with Smart Buns, I don't have too. Seriously, the best burger. The only thing- the top of the buns are a little sticky, and will fall apart if you really load them. Try and toast the bun and it helps...but the taste is fantastic. I ordered these and the wait time was almost 6 weeks. :( Imagine my surprise when they showed up less than a week later! I ordered a case and froze all but 4 of them. My mom and I tried them (she's diabetic and I'm just fat) on a good, ol' cheeseburger. Perfect. I put them on the grill just to toast the insides a little and they held up great under a juicy burger. If you are buying these thinking they are going to taste like a fresh out of the oven, yeasty, wheat bun then you are going to be disappointed. The buns are a great addition to our keto diet. I took the advice from the manufacturer and toasted them first. So far we have only had them with an egg cheese and sausage for breakfast. The only advice I would share is watch them closely while in the toaster as they tend to brown very quickly.
