Previous tachs forced me to wrap sensor wires 4+ times around spark plug caps and spend ages re-calibrating cylinder modes to get correct RPM. This one works right out of the box with default Mode 02 that fits most motors perfectly. The 2200mm long sensing wire lets me hide the alligator clip far from messy engine ignition components to avoid signal interference, no loose contact issues at all. The compact ABS body only measures 54.2*41.2mm, I ground down mounting tabs and fixed it with velcro on my snowblower control dash easily. It auto powers on/off with engine startup without any manual taps, super intuitive for quick equipment tuning and maintenance checks. Highly recommend for scooters, motorcycles, outboards and all small gas engines!

I hated my old basic hour meter: only tracked total runtime, dim tiny screen, non-replaceable built-in battery that made the whole unit trash once power died. This little tach is a total upgrade packed with every feature I need: TOT total hour counter, JOB single job timer, SVC maintenance reminder countdown, real-time clock, peak RPM storage and adjustable RPM over-speed alarm. Best of all, it uses standard replaceable button batteries, no need to throw away the whole device when power runs low. Auto sleep mode also saves battery life greatly for long-term outdoor use. I rely on it for regular equipment maintenance scheduling now!

I’ve tried several cheap tachometers for my outboard motor before, and all of them failed badly with water fogging inside the plastic cover after night dew. This engine tachometer is IP68 fully waterproof, zero water droplets form on the inner screen even after all-night heavy dew exposure on my fishing boat. The dual-color LCD screen is super bright and readable under blazing direct sunlight, I can check RPM or total hours at a glance without squinting. Installation is a breeze too, just attach the alligator clip sensing wire to spark plug cable and stick the unit with the included bracket. It hits every mark for marine small engines, totally worth every penny!

My last tachometer gave crazy random high RPM jumps and laggy readings on my twin-cylinder motorcycle, it could not handle stray ignition signals at all. This unit solves all those issues with 3 adjustable RPM multiplier modes (01/02/03) to match any single, twin or multi-cylinder gasoline engine. The 0.5s fast refresh sampling rate captures instant throttle changes perfectly—no delayed lag when I blip the throttle. I tested it on my 750cc motor, 6hp outboard and lawnmower, all RPM readings match the official manual values precisely. The max RPM memory function is a huge bonus for engine break-in tuning!
