  • Only hypoallergenic formula my baby takes
Pros: - only hypoallergenic formula my baby accepts - no spitups. - I feel better about knowing it does have lactose. Cons: - I don't have any so far. My baby is doing great on this, gaining weight as normal and hitting milestones. It smells and taste terrible, but all the hypoallergenic formulas do. This is the only one of the hypoallergenic ones that doesn't give him painful reflux so I am grateful for that. Packaging is great and I love the 1 ounces scoops. ... show more

  • same as nestle
Being in the USA I wasn't familiar with this brand. But it is within the nestle company which I do know. The price point is good for this formula and after the crazy past year with shortages and recalls, I dont mind using a lesser known brand than trying to track down the big brands that everyone also is looking for. This formula I great for milk allergies or babies just generally colicky. ... show more

  • For babies with allergies
High quality baby formula, dissolves very easily when preparing in a bottle. Great for babies with allergies who don’t do well with conventional formulas.

  • Good substitute for Nutramigen
I got this product to try for my 7 month old son who has a protein intolerance to regular milk. I was using Nutramigen for the longest time so thought I would give this a try. I’m comparison, it dissolves much quicker and doesn’t smell as bad as the Nutramigen. Measurements are different so you have to convert ml to ounces for those in US but it’s fairly easy to do that with google. I just noticed that the liquid seemed to sit on his stomach so that when I moved him after he ate I could hear it moving around in his stomach- not sure why that was. He didn’t make any fuss when I changed the formula on him which was great. Overall it worked well and could be a good option especially with the shortage in the US. ... show more

  • My baby could take it with no issue
My baby is usually fed breastmilk, but we tried this one to test this one out. My baby is easy to get gas, but this seems fine for my baby. It's easy to mix in my opinion, and I think this is a good alternative formula choice if you want to try something different.

  • Good supplemental formula for tots with allergies
The SMA Nutrition Althéra infant formula is a good choice for 6 month olds and older that have cow's milk allergies. We usually use the Similac and Kirkland brands of baby formula and decided to test this one out even if our kid didn't have allergies to cow's milk. Our baby took to this formula just fine and had no issues digesting it. ... show more

  • Pretty Gross, Expensive
My daughter does not like the taste of this at all. She'll still drink it, but she prefers it to be mixed with colder water (warm water gives a stronger taste). Bad taste isn't that surprising with hypoallergenic ingredients... I've definitely tasted worse. The scoop is small enough to work with any bottle, but doesn't have the normal hole/slit on the bottom I'm used to, so I guess it won't scoop as consistently as other brands. It's the European standard mix ratio of 1 scoop per 30mL (or 1 oz ish). I ordered this December 2022, and the tin is marked best by June 2024, so 18 months expiration from order. Made in the Netherlands by Nestle. ... show more
