  • Great gaming PC
I've had this new system for a couple of weeks now and I'm very happy with it. My system came with the Ryzen 9, 64 GB RAM, and the 4080 Super. It can run all titles at the highest graphics settings. Runs Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 & 2024 at ultra settings with FPS around 90+. It is very, very, quiet. Unless you're trying to hear it, you don't even hear it running. The system has no bloatware that you need to uninstall. I was also pleasantly surprise the motherboard was an Asus Prime X670-P WIFI. I was expecting to see them cut corners on the mobo, but Asus makes great gaming PC motherboards that are fully configurable for overclocking if you're into that sort of thing. As fast as this is and as much memory as it has, I shouldn't need to upgrade again for a long time. I had a 2070 Super on my old system and this is quite an improvement. I did run into a couple of issues that I was able to resolve. Initially it took forever to boot this up. It would take a full minute (which is forever if impatient) just to get the BIOS to post and give you the option to enter BIOS. In the BIOS section for AI Tweaking there is a DIMM memory setting called "Memory Context Restore" which was set to AUTO. That needs to be changed to ENABLED. That will also automatically enable "Power Down Enable". The system was evidently validating and testing the memory each time before posting to BIOS. This setting allows the system to use it's last known memory settings eliminating the testing and validating on each bootup. Before from a cold start, it would take over a minute before I could log in. Now it takes about 12 seconds. Another issue I had was with the case. The case is a full tower case made by Antec. There's a LED screen on top that you can show your CPU and GPU temperatures. When I received the PC, that screen didn't work. I went to the Antec site and downloaded the latest copy of "iUnity" and that installed the drivers for the display. The last issue I had was with the audio. I have surround sound speakers and all that was showing up in sound setting was stereo. I went to the Asus website and downloaded the audio drivers for the motherboard and that gave me the options for surround sound. The last issue that I had that I give up on are the front and rear fans. There are 4 RGB fans, 3 on the front and one in the back. Those lighting on the fans is not recognized by any software I've tried so far. I can adjust RGB settings on the memory, on the fans of the AIO CPU cooler. The fans look fine, run fine, but I just can't adjust the RGB colors and I can't disable the LED's to turn the lights off. They serve their purpose of moving air through the huge full tower case. So long story short, other than the lack of configurable lighting for the front fans, this is a fantastic PC that will run anything you throw at it. It will continue to do so for probably 5+ years. I didn't want to have to build my own PC, but after a lot of research (read up on faulty 14th gen intel i9 processors) I went with AMD. This PC has a great case, great motherboard for overclocking, more memory than you'll likely ever need, a 1000 watt power supply, and a 2 GB SSD. This system will get the job done for several years. ... show more

  • Skytech and poor support. Select another PC builder.
System seemed great. But trouble with the GPU prompted me to contact Skytech CS in November of 2024. They resolved that the GPU was defective and would follow-up later that day with the RMA request. They never did. I tried to contact them again in December of 2024 with no reply. Then emailed my CS contact directly in January 2025. No contact. Its now Feburary 2025 and my gaming systems continues to be unable to play games. I wouldn't recommend Skytech. Choose another builder. ... show more

  • Skytech ruined Christmas
Constant freezing shortly after launching games, then crashes to blue screen and resets itself. Problems seem to be becoming more and more prevalent. Keyboard arrived smashed, support was quick to send another but now it looks like I'm gonna have to contact again. Frustrating. Not the experience I was hoping for. Support is quick to respond, I'll update if issue gets resolved. 12/24 totally broken and unusable. Now it's not detecting the 4080. Blue screens and frustration. I regret buying this. Turns out the pc is defective, either gpu or motherboard, have to return it. Extremely disappointing and a waste of time trying to get it set up for Christmas. Unbelievable. Canceled my Prime over this. Last time I buy an item like this on Amazon. ... show more

  • DOA (Dead on Arrival)
Arrived DOA! MB indicated errors via the Easy Debug LED w/CPU and Memory. Verified all looked well as far as cables, but completely DOA, no signal/POST.....nada for a high-end gaming PC. So not a great start for my 1st purchase of a SkyTECH. Refund initiated 8/15, dropped off 8/17, they received 8/23. Here we are as of 9/20/24, and my refund status still shows STUCK in processing. UPDATE: The refund status is AMAZON and NOT SkyTech. Their customer service was fast at least to respond to inquiry and it isn't there issue. Too bad however the PC was DOA and killed my confidence in their product. ... show more
