I work 40 hours a week on my feet in a very busy kitchen. I have tried out several shoes and these Sketchers hold up rather well. I like that they are completely covered with a solid leather like material to keep moisture at bay. My shoes take quite a bit of abuse in a very hostile environment and keep me from slipping. Bought these for my granddaughter here is her review: “I started working in the fast food industry and the Nike shoes I was wearing wasn’t cutting it. I kept having to keep my balance and overall wasn’t a good time especially when you’re on the move for hours. So I made the decision to get these shoes in a hurry and let me tell you, these shoes were a godsend if you’re looking for something non-slip! I was able to sprint like no tomorrow with these shoes and they fit me perfectly. Only issue is the memory foam doesn’t really prevent foot pain cause my feet still felt sore after work but that’s an easy fix with some insoles. We got these for my daughter. She's not in food service, but she works with boarding dogs. The slip resistant soles are good, as they frequently hose down the floors. They are a little stiff at first, but after a few days, she loved them. Very supportive shoe for people on their feet a lot. The first pair we got were a bit small for her, so we returned them. I was looking for the best shoes for food services so they had to be slip resistant and comfortable for long hours on my feet. I read all the reviews and asked questions of people who have them as I wasn’t sure if they were going to be good. I bought them and when they arrived it was my busiest day. I thought I would regret using them that day as they didn’t look comfortable at first. Well I have been using them ever since and they worked out totally fine! The good things are that they are actually slip resistant and they can be easily cleaned with a damp rag if you get food on it, which is inevitable in a food area. Also though they are stiff a bit, after some time they adjust and are okay. I ordered a wide as I wanted more room and they are perfect. I really wanted to love these and have been a fan of Skechers for years. Unfortunately there is no stretch for the bone of my great toe and they don't accommodate my wide feet at all. Just breaking them in around the house resulted in very sore feet so wearing them for work is not going to happen. Bought these shoes when i was unsure about committing to a restaurant job so i made sure the non slips were as cheap as possible. These shoes are definitely as cheap as possible! Horrible foot and heel pain after 3 hours of use. Had to use a tennis ball and ice to roll out my foot after working a double. I have narrow feet, however the toe box was so narrow my pinky toe now has a blister. My feet felt like they were whipped with hot coals. I stepped on an ice cube and didnt move an inch.
