These last two pairs will have been my fourth and fifth pair. I really like the versatility of these shoes from casual to semi formal, from walks to work or gravel path. I can stand in them all day and go from the shop floor to the office without feeling out of place or unsafe. The previous pairs have had amazing longevity surviving a few years of being a relatively abused shoe. Ultimately, shoes are a very personal thing and up to the wearer to decide on but I can at least attest to the build quality and usage cases. I will note that not all leathers are equal and the brown leather held up the best lasting years with the memory foam inner sole and ankle liner deteriorating being the final factor. The lighter tan with the less treated fussier leather didn't have the same strength and failed after about two years of usage on the seam where the side hits the rubber sole and the ankle liner. While I didn't take as much care of the black it dried out and actually cracked a bit, I feel it would have lasted longer if I conditioned it and wore the pair longer. ... show more
