I received exactly what I ordered. Fit was spot on. They were well packaged, and I felt as if there was care in the condition they got to me. I find it way easier to get shoes on Amazon than thumbing through a generic collection at the local store in hopes they still have my size. The core makes it feel like my steps are assisted. The wide size not only stops my feet from hurting but also makes me feel I can wear them for hours on end. They are nice and light and feel well made, which is important to me as I am notoriously rough on shoes. The color combination is not overwhelming. Okay, I've put them through a few weeks of day to day. Comfortable. Roomy. These are great for my walks around the neighborhood and light, level ground hiking, but the lack of lateral support inherent in glued sneaker-like shoes makes them less than ideal on any sidehill, even mild ones. If you need hiking boots, buy hiking boots. They are water resistant, not waterproof. I fish ponds regularly and my feet stayed dry while walking the shorelines, which is why I bought these, but I was reminded that it has limits on a few occasions. ... as a matter of fact, my last pair of Nike tennis shoes wore thru the sole now, and are about 10 years old. My wife insisted we replace them. We went to the local shoe place and I found this brand to be very comfortable and bought a pair with red speckles in the sole, which I found interesting, although a little flashy for my taste. My wife couldn't wait to dispose of my old stand bys. After a few outings with these shoes, I found that it seemed as if I was walking on a cloud, so I was interested in finding another pair without making a special trip. I discovered there are several styles/colors of soles and found this sole with upper combo to be more appealing to me for about 20% less than at the brick and mortar. Now I have an every day pair as well as a more "formal" pair, and they both kind of feel like I am floating when I walk. Didn't think I would like these since I always wear Merrell shoes to work and around the house but these are so dang comfortable at work. My wife encouraged me to branch out. I'm glad she did. I love these shoes.

Unlike some other Skechers models, extra wide size is actually extra wide!!! I have recently given away 1 pair of another model of Skechers that created blisters over the first couple of weeks and returned another immediately after opening the package because the extra wide size rating was a far more generous description than the actual width of the shoes. My last 3 pairs of shoes have been skechers, but I feel the quality has been declining. The heel of my last pair wore out very quickly, and the padding came out of the ankles. This pair has very thin material around the back of the foot, and it's not glued on or stitched together on either foot? The back of the loose flap feels slightly tacky, but it's not stuck at all. I thought maybe it was designed that way for some reason, but I can't see any advantage to it. This is just going to rub and wear out even quicker. The shoes looks nice, are light, and they breathe well, but for high-activity footwear I don't see them holding up long. They did not come with an extra set of insoles like comparable off brands include. Which honestly makes me even more unhappy because they are less thick than the memory foam in my last pair. For reference, my job is a lot of standing and a moderate amount of walking around. I don't do any jogging or exercising that puts excessive wear on my shoes. Your mileage my vary. ... show more
