These are great for just about any occasion. My last pair was 9 years old and they've held up no problem as my daily shoe. One thing I would note is that if you think you have a wide foot, make sure to go with the extra wide fit because the regular fit is a bit snugger that I would like, but after about 3-5 days of a break-in period they're just as comfortable as my old pair. For reference, I have a narrow foot and these were still a pretty tight fit so if you have any doubt, I would suggest just getting the wide fit because the regular fit seems to run a bit narrow. These shoes are excellent in my opinion. The fit, the look, quality of construction. I am particularly impressed with the sizes available. Sometimes these slip-on loafers seem to be sold in just whole number sizes, and also no wide sizes. I'm a 10 and a half wide and they wide ones in 10-1/2 fit perfect. Just a note about break-in: They do feel like they're moving up and down on the heel at first -- however as the sole gets more flexible this goes away. They stay on my feet well and with the comfort they "disappear" -- that is, I'm not feeling anything distracting in my feet. Your mileage may vary, but I think these are great shoes. ... show more

This is my third pair in the avillo relaxed style and the ones i just bought are in wide and they fit well...but the last pair i got seemed really wide & fit looser and i never caught the fact that i had been sent extra wide but i can still wear them okay. one pair i bought in the reg. 11 size fit but were a tight fit & broke in and they were made in china and seemed to run smaller than the other two made in vietnam. i really like these shoes as they are comfortable on my feet and lasted over the time i have owed and wore them daily. ... show more

I have fallen arches and Neuropathy in my feet. I am 64 years old. It's a must that I have a shoe that is both comfortable, yet still gives good support. They are Sketchers. I can't remember the last time I bought a different brand shoe. Oh and here's the kicker... they look great too.

Listen very carefully, I'll only say this once, Best shoe ever for casual wear and ultimately your favourite shoe for wearing around the garage, garden etc. As soon as one pair starts to show too much wear for casual wear out and about i order a new pair and then they last me a year or two as my "work" shoe. I generally have to try on several shoes to find a pair that won't torture my bunions and flat feet. Ordering these was dubious at best. To my surprise, they seem to fit. I will hold my breath to see how long they last.

My husband has been a 10 1/2 all his life and we couldn't get this loafer on his foot, definitely not true to size. The styling is very nice and it appears to be well made but that's it.
